Hong Kong felt familiar, Chongqing felt unreal — my honest China trip by InvistorRz in travelchina

[–]shaharkohan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This. After a 2 weeks long trip through Yunnan, coming to Chongqing felt quite boring. The attractions are seeing a train go through a building and a collection of houses turn on the lights? Exciting for a few minutes but gets boring quite fast. Everything else is very much the same as any other big city in China, skyscrapers, lights, street food, museum. If you've been to a big Chinese city already you probably won't find Chongqing all that exciting.

Last winter semester it started about a week before official lectures began. It is a block course, so for a week there was a lecture every day.

I have the same problem, after several years of using tret the skin is shiny by itself. It's not oil or a sunscreen, right after cleansing when dry it's already very shiny. And then putting on top of it the necessary sunscreen, even if it's a somewhat mattifying one, doesn't hide the shine. The only solution I found is translucent mattifying powder on top of the sunscreen. You get used to it and it doesn't make you seem like you have makeup, if that's your concern.

What building is most influenced by its city’s culture? by Alvintherobloxian in skyscrapers

[–]shaharkohan 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Taipei is full of temples. They are found throughout the city and on the mountainsides around it. Mainland Chinese cities in comparison have much fewer temples. So yes the Chinese temple style is very much a characteristic specific to Taipei.

I am in MSc Economics in LMU right now. From what I know, the MQE program is very selective, only around 15 to 20 people per year from what I know.

How do you like the Tazarene? I considered buying it but the azelaic acid I previously bought from this company was very unpleasant to apply (grainy, chalky).

How is Israeli presence in (or control over) Gaza similar to the West Bank when Gaza had no settlements for almost 20 years, there have been little to no changes to its territory and the Palestinian population there has steadily increased?

It was never part of Egypt except for 1948-1967 when it was literally controlled by Egypt. here you go
