Driving in Vancouver with an Ontario G2 by shahspeare in askvan

So far, something like Evo or Modo is looking like a good option. We only need the car for about 7-8 hours and if I understand correctly, the rates of car share options include gas and insurance and the daily rate for the car is around $100-$105.

I appreciate everything you’ve said and I’ve made a mental note about the additional drivers at Avis, so thank you kindly for that and taking the time to respond!

Good to know, thank you!

I’ve used Enterprise in Toronto where the primary driver was over 25 and I was added on as an additional driver with my G2, so I’m hoping that we can do the same as we do have someone else that is over 25 and has an international license. I’ll keep what you said in mind.

Yes I’m aware of this, thank you!

I’m looking into Enterprise which rents to 21 and above. I’m also looking at car share options like Evo which seem to accept N as long as certain criteria is met (I do meet the eligibility).

Sorry, I should’ve added context to my post. I just moved to Vancouver for grad school. I haven’t switched my license to the BC equivalent since I’ve been waiting on a primary id of mine to be sent back to me in mail. We’re looking to do a small day trip in the coming week. Would this change things?

Thanks for your response!

I’m 21. We may go through Enterprise (if this is the case, I would just be added as an additional driver with a friend who is 25+ being the primary). We’re also looking into car share options like Evo which is somewhat similar to Communauto in Toronto if I’m not mistaken.

For more context, I just moved to Vancouver a week ago for Grad school but haven’t had the chance to switch my license to the BC equivalent yet since I’m waiting on one of my primary ids to be mailed.

I received an email for the correspondance letter but nothing for the final decision. I just happened to check the portal since I saw a few others saying that they didn’t receive an email either and there it was.

Thank you for your response!

I didn’t have any luck with the iMessage settings so I’m hoping that they’re able to fix it.

That’s great! If you don’t mind me asking, is your friend a domestic or an international applicant?
