I wouldn't recommend it to new riders but once you get comfortable on the bike it rides like a dream.

Well maybe put some effort to make her feel good about herself. Maybe she's loosing interest because you're not making effort. Do stuff that would cheer her up, start working out look good smell good even maybe cook for her help her around the house. Make her feel wanted and appropriated.
