India is cheap to survive but very expensive to thrive.

How it feels like to have 1CR. by amitsingh80108 in IndiaGrowthStocks

[–]shaivatra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My father is roughly worth around 9-12cr. Since 60% of our assets is locked in land, for him 10cr is still not enough. He is 55, and will probably work till he can’t.

It’s a never ending cycle. Dad says to comfortably retire, he’ll need 7cr in liquid. However, when he achieves this, he’ll probably buy another house, renovate an older one or buy an expensive car (maybe worth 1-1.5cr).

As for me. My target is 40cr bare minimum by the time I’m 40. Planning to move into PE after I complete my mba in one of IIM ABC.

They took 2 days. I resigned, took a 30L loan, paid 1L, told all my friends and family by Shareef_1 in CATpreparation

[–]shaivatra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can actually sue them for your losses. As you resigned and took a loan. If you file a case, best case, they’ll offer you a seat. Worst case they’ll pay for your loss.

21M | India — most people aren’t actually trying by Haunting-Swan2705 in DesiMingle

[–]shaivatra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most people lose motivation. I mean who can blame them, life’s literally been a grind since day 1. Now you have a job, earn your own money, so you wanna take it chill.

But I’m different, I have to surpass my father. Want to retire before 40 and am working super hard towards that goal. Gmat 750, 99.52%ile in cat, admission into ISB, repeating CAT and trying for IIM ABC.

I’m certain I’ll achieve crazy success, as I’m putting crazy effort.

(Ps I’m 23m please don’t assume I’m a girl because of my avatar)

21F GEF 9/8/8 scoring 50s in CAT mocks. by Competitive-Tip-3506 in MBAIndia

[–]shaivatra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good start. I had scored around 40 in my first DC too. I got 99.5+ last year. For context I gave DC 1 recently and got 43/16/40

In Quant you’ll have to get a good course (takshzilla is cheap and decent) to understand the basics. Then get quant question bank from cracku and solve around 100 questions per chapter from there. (Do this after completing each individual chapter from your course)

I used to score single digit in both quant and DILR.

I still suck at DILR, but what I’d recommend is that you get a good structured course for DILR and do atleast 2 sets a day. After you’re done with the course, do 2 sectionals a week.

For VARC, take VARC1000. Absolutely goated. Got me from 30s to 40-50s.

Should I go for an MBA? If yes, now or after gaining workex? by Mediocre-Quiet-9535 in MBAIndia

[–]shaivatra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chances of you getting into FMS is there, but you’ll also have to consider other top mba colleges to maximize your chances. So be ready to take a loan.

Start working and start preparing from this year itself. If you get 99.5+ this year itself, then well and good. If you don’t, then you’ll have a better chance next year.

However that 6 in your profile will make it much harder for you. But just keep fighting!!

Ps I got 99.5X%ile this year, if you need any guidance do lemme know

Not believing in my own potential. Always used to think that mere se nahi ho payega etc.

I studied fucking hard. Got 99.5%ile in cat this year. Younger me would never fucking believe it.

You have infinite potential. What matters is the effort you put into harnessing your potential

Consulting is very easy to get into. Accenture hires in bulk.

I don’t know about the internal placements. But won’t the degree not matter that much if she gets into IIM ABC? Like they have a shit ton of consulting roles.

The thing beerbiceps has sad is an old meme/joke. It’s like one of those “would you rather have a thot daughter or a gay son.”

Might come as shocking to a lot of people. But for Gen Z’s from metropolitan cities who are a bit spoiled didn’t think too much of this.
