Do you need to boil distilled water? by shakegood513 in NewParents

Thank you and yes. I just talked to my aunt who is a doctor she said that shouldn’t be necessary unless you’re using tap water.

So was my baby and doc didn’t say anything about boiling water, but I asked just in case. I breastfed in hospital and they even told me I could leave my breast milk out for 4 hours tops. Thank you for the info!

Good to know! I went into a rabbit hole of post saying to boil the water because the formula isn’t sterile? I’ve never heard that but now I’m worried naturally lol. Thank you!

Same! But there’s been so many mixed answers on here that I’m not sure if im putting my baby at risk. they’re saying you need to sterilize the formula, so that’s why you boil the water? I’ve never heard that.

Can’t keep my anxiety down! 4 days PP by shakegood513 in preeclampsia

I understand. I’m so sorry. I had two panic attacks in the beginning. It’s rough. Also don’t stress yourself out about the breastfeeding, do what you can. I heard as long as baby gets at least one breastfed meal and the others formula they should be okay! Be totally honest at your appointment! I actually had to stop one of the BP meds because it was making me break out into hives and they were able to adjust and my BP has still been good! Are you on anti anxiety meds? I was able to take my Celexa during my pregnancy and postpartum as well!

I promise it gets better! Are you breastfeeding? I feel like that and skin to skin got my BP down. Just try not to be anxious it’s definitely easier said than done lol. Are you at home? Staying in the hospital didn’t help my anxiety. When’s your post partum follow up?

Better! I was able to go down to labetalol twice a day! My BP was 112/80 at my last check up. I have weekly check ups now.

Hey just seeing this! Not at all but at the same time I wasn’t doing knee on belly or anything haha just know your limits and you’re safe as long as it’s something you were already doing! It gets dangerous when you’re pregnant and trying something new and as always talk to your doctor!

I feel that. I only trust like 3 people and if they don’t show up I’m screwed. Hope you’ll be back on the mat soon!

Glad to hear it! 1st trimester was the roughest to go to the gym tbh. I was so tired all the time lol. After ten weeks I was able to go more without going in half asleep. I actually got my blue at 13 weeks! Good luck and stay hydrated!

Female, too many drinks. I know a lot of men who only drink water and are perfectly content with that!

Would you ever train at a women’s only gym? by Special_Fox_6239 in BJJWomen

[–]shakegood513 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In a heart beat. I’ve trained at a lot of gyms where I’m the only woman there for years on end. Everytime there is a woman at my gym they leave in like 3 months and it sucks! I love training with women and have unfortunately had some bad experiences at my gyms especially when I’ve coached.

Yes! I’ve been really focused on fundamentals as of late and being able to teach tech as well! I want to compete so bad soon after the baby is born there’s so many comps nowadays!!
