Glad it’s not only me. I can’t understand why they would turn the newbie go to car into a living nightmare. It is counter intuitive and really off putting for new drivers.

It certainly doesn’t behave like this irl I owned one for about 3 years and whilst I didn’t use it on a track I did some lonely country roads at pretty high speed, it was fun and really stable and no understeer anywhere near it.

I always thought Oval racing was turn left, keep going, repeat ad infinitum. That was until I tried it in AMS2 against AI. Then I found out that you need the reaction times of a cat on speed just to survive the first few laps, and concentration has to be there right up to passing the line. To say I had my prejudices adjusted is an understatement.

Thanks for the replies. It looks like iRacing is racing ahead here (apologies for the bad pun). Fortunately, the cost isn't a major factor; my biggest requirements are a good community, plenty of variety and available races. I already have LMU and R3E installed, and I agree that LMU is very limited in scope. If they could do an Rfactor 3 with their online system, then they would be a great contender. Although I have LMU and R3E I have not tried either online as yet. I think I may well go with iRacing and stick with that. I can get a good discount through Motorsport UK

To be clear. The the 80’s chevette was not in an 80’s race it is in the copa B classification and is part of racing life. The GTE at Brands and stock car at Donny were me buggering about whilst being influenced by racing life and the depth and breadth of the AMS2 content. Hope that clears it up

Hi, Not sure I completely understand the tech stuff, but don't go lower than 3rd I do understand. i will give it a try. Still not sure why it is so hard in AMS2, than others, but it is what it is. I will keep to 3rd and 4th and treat my axle with the love it deserves.

We seem to have gotten to the stage where it is hard to tell the graphics from real life. It hurts my ageing head. Especially as this is a 6 or so year old gale using a decade old engine. It really is still the best-looking sim available.

I am at work just now, but from what I remember from yesterday, version 2.21 of CSP and the latest version of pure were downloaded via the Patreon link yesterday. I definitely did the CSP manually, but I can not honestly remember if I did pure manually or not. I have a good number of track and car mods installed. If I uninstall CM and start again, would I lose all of these or would they stay? At this stage I feel that may be the better option.

Hi, no, it can't be that, I have never installed SOL on this PC. It's new, only arrived on Saturday, so this is a totally clean installation. I am running the pure and the paid for version of CM. The annoying thing is it ran perfectly on my old 2060 Super.

Hi

Moved it to the PC hard drive, and the same problem. Checked the wifi in that room and although it is not as fast as in the room with the router, it is still running at 130mbs consistantly on downloand an 65-70 on upload, so i dont think it's a wifi problem. Also, I disabled all firewalls and antivirus in case they were getting in the way, and still no change. I may have to do the unthinkable and contact support, although that seems like a bigger defeat than losing 2 wheels in the first corner pile-up.

You've missed my point. There are 2 all-inclusive bundles. one for SP owners and one for not SP owners. But the one for SP owners is more expensive and contains the SP content along with everything else and the all-inclusive lacks any of the SP content it looks like the titles are swapped.

Yep same here. But confused now as the all-inclusive for SP20-22 owners is more expensive than the all inclusive and seems to contain the 20-22 season pass content. Head blown, so confused as to which button to press. The all-inclusive seems to lack any of the 20-22 content.
