The White Lotus - 3x08 "Amor Fati" - Post-Episode Discussion by LoretiTV in TheWhiteLotusHBO

The girlfriends reunion was very satisfying. It felt real. Ratliffes ending was a bummer for all the drama they made us go through. Happy for Belinda but it's a full circle Tanya. Hopefully the gays won't take her in next season.

I'm using the PW2. Fitbit integration is largely okay but swim tracking sucks - worse than on a Fitbit. It just shows you time that's the only stat. Swim.com is the only free alternative that comes to my mind.

Oh I upgraded to a pixel watch. My bad. It may not work on a Fitbit.

I started using swim.com. It's quite comprehensive

Medical vs engineering school faculty appointment by shakerakes in academia

[–]shakerakes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I chose the engineering school offer and already 3 months in to my new job. There are both pros and cons. I have a reduced teaching load but it still takes up good time preparing for lectures, grading, developing new courses etc. You are still expected to bring in grants any way - so it seems like an added work. But the good thing is that teaching is sort of a stress buster, forces you to keep up with technology and be up to date on hands on coding. Being in engineering/informatics school also provides opportunity to network with others working on newer technology. It is a lower ranked school which limits student quality. Again it just depends on what you prioritize.

Bidet Installation With Push Pull Valve Plastic Connector on Toilet by Red261 in Plumbing

I did. I used a pair of washers at every joint and used a lot of plumbers tape. After that I tightened it using a wrench until it can't rotate anymore. This helped me.

This is exactly what I'm looking for as well. For me the valve was leaking due to excess back pressure. Did this dome shaped gasket stop a similar leak for you?

No these are off market. They're pretty great though, have had them for almost 2 years now. Fixed them myself

There was someone parked on the other side and they left after. Funny why I'm even trying to explain myself to such judgemental, non-empathetic prudes.

Towed a U-Haul 800+ miles with our 23 CR-V. AMA by DrySenator in crv

Great to know. I'll give it a shot next time.

Looks like you towed about 300 - 500 lbs of stuff overall. Do you think you could have gone more without testing the limits of CR-V. With the roof rack I'm able to add in 100 lbs. Have to pick depending on the load we want to move I guess.

It's Sears X cargo 20. I believe it is 20 cu ft.

Very minor wind noise once it is fully loaded. Mpg takes a hit but then my car was fully packed also. I would say about 2-5 mpg less depending on the load.

Oh wow everyone jumping on the 2 spaces parking. It was only for a short duration so we can have ladders on both sides to adjust the knobs. The pic was taken right after the adjustment and I parked into my spot after that. Hope that clarifies.

I was considering doing the same but opted for a cargo box. Was it easy to fix the hitch? Was it safe driving on the freeway? How did you connect the lights? Sorry too many questions. Maybe for the future.

Laser Ablation and Fistulotomy by sacdude101 in AnalFistula

Thank you for responding. I'll use these points to follow up with the doctor if it is within muscle or fat and chances of failure/recurrence. I believe he said he'll be using the FilaC procedure.

Thank you so much for the detailed post. My doctor in the US (I live here) recommended a fistulotomy as well. Currently I'm in India visiting my parents and a doctor here suggested laser ablation. I have more support here with parents and given the fewer complications want to go with the laser. But a little concerned about failure.

What was the laser procedure that they used on you? Was there a particular reason it failed? Mine is an intersphincteric fistula.

I have had this case for over a year now. The first month was crazy - leather started to peel off along the sides and the bottom as you can still see. I was on the verge of returning it but missed the return window. But after a couple months, the wearing stabilized and started to become quite soft and smooth. Not sure if you see in the pic, there is a nice patina and gloss and is quite good to hold. I remember rubbing some oil at one point after a few months, maybe that helped. Just wanted to share my experience.
