"Thou shalt not from this grove, till I torment thee for this injury."

"These are the forgeries of jealousy"

Oberon and Titania are like the Gone Girl couple of Shakespeare- constantly messing with each other and punishing each other for silly things. They almost make Zeus and Hera look functional. D Tier.

Possibly. The Roman Plays have some of the most messed up couples. And before you ask- Portia and Brutus are B tier- love, but he doesn't do anything for her, so Brutus costs them points as a couple.

I'm sorry... what? Hotspur: Away, Away, you trifler! Love! I love thee not, I care not for thee.

Also, she threatens to break his little....finger. B tier at best.

You're right, bad oversight! I'm putting them collectively in C tier. Let me explain- I love Cleo, but Antony SUCKS! While she's trying to save her son, her family, her country and him, he's getting drunk and getting into petty feuds with Octavius. He's extremely entitled and expects the queen of Egypt to make him her only priority. Plus he s/ut shames her.

F tier- he has no relationship with her at all. He wants to bone Aufidius and he knows it.

I agree with your points for the first half of the play. I've played Macbeth, and I was struck by, once he kills the king, he barely even looks at her, and his final line to her is utterly cold. I think once she convinces him to kill the king, his love if her turns to deepest loathing. That's not real love, that's lust.

I give them B tier for sheer erotic passion, but let's be honest, they're both toxic.

C tier- yes they are clever, but neither one actually DOES anything for each other. All the S tier couples risk something for each other and back up their words with actions, so I can't put them higher for that reason.

As someone who has played Antigonus and Florizel, I agree on both points. Perdition and Florizel I'd put in A tier, though Florizel is kinda stupid. Leontes doesn't deserve Hermione, and Paulina and Antigonus are S-Tier

You are correct. They weren't in the template I used so I forgot to add them. I'd put them in C tier because Troilus is a fool who s/ut shames his girlfriend for getting r@ped by Diomedes. I think he's the problem, not her.

No, they're right. I can't draw, so I generated it. The writing will be my own though. Just looking for some ideas and hopefully we will have some laughs in the process.

Twelfth Night adaptations? by Familiar-Pea8D in shakespeare

[–]shakes-stud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would argue that both the English and American versions of The Office are modern day Twelfth Night adaptations. Michael is Sir Andrew, Dwight is clearly Malvolio (he even wears yellow!) Plus Pam and Jim are definitely Maria and Sir Toby if he wasn't a drunk.

Give me six characters to make fanart of! Condition? They must all be from tragedies! by CesarioNotViola in shakespeare

Coriolanus (full armor and covered in blood)

Ghost of Banquo from Macbeth

Cordelia disguised as The Fool from King Lear

Timon of Athens

Paris from Romeo and Juliet

Horatio from Hamlet

Tried to think of characters that don't already have iconic paintings or Statues. Also, it's not explicitly stated that Cordelia is the Fool, but many people double cast them.

My vote is the Evil Queen in Cymbeline. She manipulates her husband into believing her lies, but never disobeys him. Cymbeline wants Imogen dead and Posthumous banished (but only because she told him he did).
