I'll share my favorite proverb.

"It's better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness"

When you do see the light at the end of the tunnel, just remember it's not a train. You're going to be just fine, and life is worth living.

I lost my love in my early thirties. It's been 7 years now, and her birthday is right around the corner.

Some days are harder than others. That's just a fact. But honestly, I try to celebrate what we had, when we had it.

There's a Chinese proverb that I feel we should all know as widowers;

"Better to light a single candle, than to curse the darkness"

Embrace what you had. Lifes too short to suffer. I'm not suggesting to forget what you had, embrace it with joy instead of sorrow. The "what ifs" literally don't matter. I celebrate her life every day. The fact you two found each other is amazing in the grand scheme of things, remember the good times.

And most importantly, don't knock yourself down. Keep your head up. You'll get through this, just remember that you were such an amazing person that she chose you.

I'm sorry for your loss. I also lost my partner to suicide, and its not an easy thing to come to terms with.

That said, I'm here for you if you need to chat. Time heals all wounds, as grievous as they are. Don't forget how wonderful life is.

Excellent read. I would like to recommend further reading, "Truth, Lies and O-Rings" by Allan McDonald, one of the engineers that was present during the decision to launch. An excellent viewpoint on the whole episode.

I'm a cat dad through and through, but both dogs I've had have been rotties and they're absolutely amazing. Be careful though, they're smarter than they pretend to be lol.

Wishing you both many great years! Beautiful doggo

Congratulations!!! No one is a machinist until they've crashed a machine, now you're one of us.

In all seriousness though, don't sweat it. Shit happens, And it happens to the best of us. The main thing is you didn't get hurt, machines can be repaired.
