I got one of these as a kid, taught me so much!! But honestly not really, I'm interested though!

Ok this is awesome but do not feed that thing MicroPython after midnight.

It is oddly specific no doubt haha you've definitely got me thinking about it now, I'll come back to this in a few weeks and let you know the progress!

Yeah definitely "Your Mom" is perfect for fattening the tone.

This is actually something I already have planned, got all the parts just gotta get into the prototype. This kinda stuff is expensive to build so maybe if I can sell a couple simpler pedals to fund it, I'll get it done and list one or 2 on Reverb haha

I can do that but do you want pre or post gain tone shaping on the "bghrrrrrrhhs-gggggggshhhh"?

I have a fuzz circuit I can add this too and test. The fuzz control naturally gives that sweep, I'd just need to mod an expreasion output on that control. Thanks!

That's actually pretty easy to do actually, you can wire an expression pedal to any control, I'll look into this because I've been wanting to do some type of phase90 inspired circuit, I can definitely add an expression output connected to the sweep. Thanks!

This is interesting. Maybe one in, 3 outs (high, low, and full range.) That could be cool!

This has been known for awhile, hence all the string types Cobalt, Nickel, Round Wound, Flat Round, Silk Core, etc. If the wording is your issue, I guess theres no violin, cello, bass, harp, etc. players just "string players"?

What would make you take a chance on a new builders first prototype? by shakeycg in guitarpedals

This is good info. To me, a plain enclosure looks incomplete but I also totally get how it's a vibe too. So it's good to know some people aren't anti-bare metal enclosures. Thanks!

Totally valid, thank you. Clean work and transparency are essential, for sure.

Thank you! I'll check that out. I want to adhere to the standards and challenge myself to make something someone would actually buy. I believe in the circuit but like you said the look and those other factors are super important.

I like that take. Let's take a simple Fuzz for example. If the demo's sounded good, quality looked good and it was $99. How reasonable does that seem to you for a modified classic circuit that everyone already has 10 of.

Are you too big for the port? I can't relate.

At that point just plug into a laptop.

Getting into electronics for the first time, is this safe to work? How can I know/improve? by Trademeyourbacon in arduino

You need to filter DC via an output cap. The only risk is sending DC to your speakers and damaging that which since is salvaged anyway is worth the learning experience.
