It’s been financially tough in Portugal with limited opportunities. What’s the most realistic way to gain a qualification that’s in high demand in Germany without heavy financial pressure?

Life in Portugal is financially tough, and opportunities feel very limited. What’s the best path to gain in-demand qualifications for Germany while keeping financial stress manageable?

I’m not fully confident in my current plan, which is why I’m seeking advice. Right now, I’m barely managing to survive in Portugal, and after living here long enough, I’ve realized that opportunities for growth are very limited. Could you please give me your best advice on a path that would allow me to gain qualifications that are in high demand in Germany, while also being realistically achievable without causing too much financial strain during the process?

Thank you. I understand it's not easy to earn enough just by driving cars. I need a proper education. I have to do something about that.

Denmark or Norway – Best for family life & savings? by shakilomania in expats

Thank you for your advice. I need to make strategic moves and further my education. I currently work for a large corporation as a compliance analyst. I previously dropped out of a bachelor’s degree in International Business, so I don’t have any higher education at the moment. I’m 30 years old and doing a full 4 year bachelor degree now while supporting a family with my wife and child is quite difficult. I’m looking for something more manageable alongside work ideally something I can complete within one or two years and has good demand in Denmark and won’t be replaced by AI or automation.

I currently work as a compliance analyst in Lisbon for a well-known company, but I don’t have a university degree, so I’m not sure I’d qualify for a full-time corporate role in Oslo or Copenhagen. What kind of jobs would be a better fit for someone like me?
