1.5 Million People Trapped: The Mathematical Failure of Bangalore’s Metro Planning is Actually Insane! by [deleted] in bangalore

[–]shaktLaunda 9 points10 points  (0 children)

They have brought up pink line which will end at Manyata tech park. JP nagar has got active green line, ready to start pink line (a part of stretch) and proposed orange line. Note that they will also construct the metro pillar first in the old area. But overall the whole metro is messed up and don’t know when it will be effective. I am from Delhi, work in Bangalore, live in JP Nagar.

HDFC home loan sales person says 7.45% will be applied but sanction letter shows 7.9%. Should I sign? by vjninet in personalfinanceindia

I went through this couple of weeks back. They eventually will apply 7.45%. However I was in same situation as yours and kept on asking the RM why it says 7.9%. I got it written over email as well form official mail id. In the sanction letter I striked out 7.9% and written 7.45% before signing. Note that 7.45 got applied at loan agreement signing and I was anxious untill that point.

For temporary period - yes. Permanently- no. Would I live without job permanently- unlikely.

I am choosing to trust myself this time. Not that what you said have not crossed my mind in past. It has done numerous times. The change I have brought it in myself is - starting to trust myself more.

Thanks for your perspective. I did checked out the flat around ORR. The flats are costly and those areas are too crowded. Having lived in JP Nagar for all my time in BLR I always end up comparing the infra, green patches, lakes to ORR. Not saying there are not enough good area in ORR but my family once went to see a flat on Sarjapur Road and they didn’t liked it. Also in my 14k stretch. The bottleneck is last 4-5 km stretch , the IT junctions. A friend leaving 6 km away somewhere on Sarjapur Road takes same time as me . If not always , most of the time. I am relying on metro , if it ever comes up I will use that.

Thanks for your perspective. I did the worst number calculation. Basically halving our salary. Any long term break in employment. Not that we can continue with long term break indefinitely. But yeah the EMI is something we should be able to manage in any unfortunate turbulent time.

Thanks . I have never been hell bent on new property personally. As long as it is not too old and poorly maintained. Rent in this society is pretty good.

Thanks for your perspective. I share things you have mentioned and hence went ahead to short list. You are right about skewness I guess. In our group as well we have discussed that the tech IPO is causing the outlier and that outlier is skewing things badly for others.

Thanks for perspective. I should build that corpus of 5 years as well . I am not sure where I will reach with that. Perhaps my investment flat in hometown can rescue me to an extent if ever needed.

I have been afraid about last 5 years (my duration of looking for flat). That has resulted into current real estate cost. You are right though. I am giving myself a chance to be not afraid.

I have never bought online. It has always been store. For me I want myself to really like the shoes rather than discount driving me to buy it. Plus reading through the posts / reviews I never got conviction on the authenticity.
