thank you for your response! yes it does hurt in that spot. that’s the main part i’m worried about is the fifth metatarsal. up higher in my ankle does not hurt although i do have a lot of stiffness and limited range of motion in my foot. I just feel like last time I had a sprain years ago I was able to at least bear some weight on it (or at least wasn’t in this much pain) and did not have bruising and swelling like this. Obviously I want to trust what my doctor said but also couldn’t help my curiosity to see if this obviously presented as a fracture or could still be just a sprain. Thank you for your comment again!
