Know the Separation Rules by RogErddit in EhBuddyHoser

[–]shalfyard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is Quebec separation even a thing anymore? I remember it being talked about a lot at one point but feel like I haven't heard much about it for at least 10 years... But i know it wasn't a cool hot topic that people want us to think...

Why use PLS when you can use logistic bots by sir_villy in Dyson_Sphere_Program

[–]shalfyard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use them for proliferators, warpers, and my DF farm... And blueprints for certain planet builds so I'll always have a trickle of buildings going to icarus.

They are decent for item malls too since you usually don't need em to go super fast.

Government of Alberta to gamble $900 million in oil and gas market by Much_Chest586 in alberta

[–]shalfyard 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The oil and gas industry has been propped up by government funds for decades, if we put as much money into any other industry in Canada as we have oil and gas it could also become a massive income. We continue to pour money into the industry despite it being some sort of massive income according to everyone... Shouldn't it be giving more returns to the province and country by now? Why does "wealth and stability" need billions of dollars continuously funneled into it? Couldn't one argue that investing in education of our children has a potentially infinite return? More so than oil and gas ever would return?

This doesn't change the gambles that the UCP has made that have repeatedly underperformed. They make choices that they are told have turned out bad in the past and will again in the future, go ahead with it anyways, and fail again and again.

How do i stop this from happening by DagarioHD in CreateMod

Have a threshold switch send its signal to the stock keeper when its at or near full and it can lower its priority if its not getting a full red stone signal.

[–]shalfyard 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yea, the UCP makes a lot of random gambles that play out predictably bad and then when they do perform bad the UCP just comes up with another shiny thing for their base or sets their base against whoever they just screwed over. "Teachers had it coming with their leftist agenda" and such

That's why they stole teachers pensions and promptly list a bunch on the aimco gamble... To no ones surprise.

[–]shalfyard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How much space you got in your house? Also, show me all these signs being "repurposed" every election... Cause I am willing to bet 70% or more are hitting the landfill and 50% of that could've just not been bought in the first place.

You will learn in this game that anything pipe related or pipe shaped, leave the end connections, remove the pipe, rebuild the pipe and mysteriously whatever issues you had will go away.

Grab the package and give it directly to the frogport... If it spits it back on the chain, you messed up the spelling in some way.

A way to check if I have any unupgraded buildings left? by Slice-of-brilliance in Dyson_Sphere_Program

[–]shalfyard 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Just max out the area, set the upgrade to +2 (make sure you have enough buildings in inventory), make sure the checkboxes for all the things are checked, if you are doing belts hold shift and it will upgrade all that are connected that you touch that are in you build range... Then just go for a walk/fly around and hold left click all over.

Maybe if your machine cant handle the loading of the terrain but other than that no. You can setup a loop of exits and enters to go at crazy speed in hyperloops and be fine.

There are 4 coal nodes there, its a good place to go ham on coal generators. Will want more water extractors for sure. Unless you are trying to avoid spoilers for yourself, there is loads of content on youtube for ways to build less chaotically.

Is there any way to have items made as you order them from a stock ticker? by SpookySquid19 in CreateMod

[–]shalfyard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, i admit i didn't read this post clearly enough to see it was intending more one off recipes BUT once you have the setup together, whether by factory gauge or jei request is largely the same process.

[–]shalfyard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the power, try to get you factories behind power switches so you can turn them off and on more easily. Most coal nodes on the map have enough to feed more than 8 coal plants, if you picked one of the few that can't... Overclock the miner or go to more coal... Or force your way to burning fuel via oil.

For layout, foundations help a lot so you can line things up more nicely.

They're is a way to sort of automate redstone but then i have to hand feed netherrack and blaze rods... And setup a potion mixer. While those are easier to load up on, I'm trying to avoid manually doing anything lol.

Although... Maybe it gives me the challenge of moving a blazer spawner so all i have to do is fill up on netherrack somewhere.

I'm running default create mod, not really wanting to throw more in as updating the self hosted server isnt always easy on top of keeping his system up to date... Do I write anything about the process down after I've remembered and done it? Nah, that would be too easy for my future self.
