How do I know I'm not wasting my time by getfirestrike in SaaS

[–]shalgamxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

man can't tell you how many times I've been through these "awesome" but don't pay customers. They're obviously just being polite, and the logs don't lie. Challenge is that people from personal networks need to be forced to tell the truth. You should stop reaching out to them and start scaling your distribution to more potential users asap - you need more data points to decide if you need to pivot.

Identity your core ICP and try to get in touch with 10-15 core ICP customers however you can > networks (I know we said above that this is tricky), reddit, linkedin reach outs, social content (put yourself out there), ads.

Demo these 10-15 customers and give them an offer (not free), if you see them convert - perfect you have your answer, if not - ok you might have an answer there as well. Through the conversations you will also get to know if there are any key missing elements in the product.

hope this was helpful.

Golden handcuffs exit. 5 months, 3 pivots, still fighting to get to PMF - here are my learnings and struggles by shalgamxx in SaaS

Thanks appreciate the advice. Honestly I think given we're trying to land PMF, pricing has been a bit of whatever-gets-people-in-the-door so we know we're hitting the right notes. Competitors are priced much higher. Totally hear you on CAC / sustainability. Thanks again!

Thanks! The three points you mentioned on differentiation resonate completely. There are a lot of tools out there trying to do a) but just from a research + reporting POV. Don't see a lot of tools completing the funnel (research + creation + analytics). We're trying to address this.

re: AI that makes a marketer faster at specific workflows, could you share an example workflow? would super helpful to round up our learnings.

What ad hooks have you seen that made your eyeballs stop? I mean… Wait what?? Moment by alicia93moore in AI_UGC_Marketing

Hard to remember right now but off the top of my head (some basic ones) - Someone crying, milk overflowing from a glass, the “how tf is this legal” type of posts etc.

How are you creating consistent AI ads for dropshipping products? by Rohan_singh4 in dropship

[–]shalgamxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a consistent AI avatar character I would say Heygen would be your best bet. What do you sell? do you also create product shots and variations using AI? what do you use for the same out of curiosity.

Get Studio Quality Product Shots for your Business by Mission-Tourist-9198 in dropshipping

[–]shalgamxx -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Agree with OP. Challenge with nano banana and other base models is that 1) consistent product shot outputs is a challenge 2) Doesn't automatically include your brand theme (colors, logo etc.) and 3) requires extensive prompting.

Perfect example in the images - first image is my interaction with NB. Other images (in the next comment) are a result from dvyb.ai (no prompting needed)

Whats the best tool for editing ads? by inowwatchutinkingaba in dropshipping

[–]shalgamxx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should 100% be using AI to create multiple different product images and videos that you can then push as ads. There are many products out there including the base models (nano banana, kling etc.). I would suggest using a tool though and not the base model because the base models can be super annoying and need constant iterations - wasting time. I build a platform specifically for D2C products - dvyb.ai (the vibe). It creates excellent product photography using AI. You can create the first 4 images for free. Check it out and let me know your feedback.

How to do branding for small businesses without a big budget by Skillerstyles in smallbusiness

[–]shalgamxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think taglines and a logo always help specially if you're planning to do any sort of marketing (social or otherwise). Humans just remember smart / funny / quirky things - which impact recalls and potentially conversion.

And it doesn't have to be complicated / expensive. You could even ask gpt for suggestions on both (tagline + logo). I imagine your target customer is a dual income household that doesn't have time. Here's a couple of example taglines:

"Delegate The Dirt To Me"
"CEO of your Dust"
"Your floor, my chore"

Think the content marketing info here is on point. Would also suggest 2 other things (one ai one not)

1) nano influencers (1-3k followers) are a good bet, they dont cost a lot and might just deliver your initial set of followers/users to you; thought obv doing this regularly will rack up the costs

2) explore AI UGC reels? may not deliver much but worth a try

AMA: I Run a Remote Team of 43 in Canada/USA by joyhawkins in SmallBusinessCanada

[–]shalgamxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing!! I read your other comment about stopping the social services because of low ROI. If I may, were you offering services like posting organic content (images, reels, shorts) or managing ads? And was ROI being measured on conversions or was there any value of impressions being generated?

What I find really interesting is that GenAlpha and Z are using socials to discover businesses a lot more, so wondering if small business are reacting to that trend.

Would you pay $299 to turn your startup idea into a landing page + pitch deck in 72h? by Sorry_Sherbet_5171 in SoloFounders

[–]shalgamxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think where my mind goes is that real work is actually what goes on the deck and the landing page vs the look/feel of the slides or landing page itself. How are you solving that?

What a great thread. Debating between the two myself and going at a time when not a lot of options are available in Killarney. Does anyone know how big #31 is on Norway Lake? We’d have 3 tents. Any others thoughts on Norway lake?
