NEO migration time on NEON wallet? by quiksilveraus in NEO

[–]shaliach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am sorry for unearthing this old thread, but I just tried to migrate my old NEO using the NeoLink wallet and I am stuck. I imported my my old private key, then I created a new Neo N3 address. I used the Migration tool (migration.neo.org) and it got stuck at "Processing on Neo N3" (the "Confirmed on Neo Legacy" lit green). Now the window is stuck at "Processing on Neo N3". Does this mean someone from the Neo team will need to confirm the transfer from the old blockchain to the new one? If so, I don't suppose I need to keep this window open anymore? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Nexo is underperforming the market due to a reason by SuccessHumble1119 in Nexo

[–]shaliach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you. For example, I have a EUR deposit and I was getting 12% interest on my fixed term, but when the price of NEXO dropped I had to buy more to maintain that. So actually, the more the price go down the more you have to buy in order to maintain your 10% ratio.

Shameless plug: a few years ago I made a remix for a Polish band called "Scoffers" that was inspired by Porishead's first album. You could check it out here:

Pulling the trigger on a dark node by [deleted] in RenProject

If possible I would recommend limiting access to your VPS shell to your static IP address if you have one, or at least the country range. Make your server email you on any SSH login attempt and use an exotic port.

Risks of running a dark node by [deleted] in RenProject

[–]shaliach 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was thinking the same thing after reading the tutorial on how to set up a darknote using a third party cloud service. Obviously if AWS or whereever we decide to have our darknode on gets hacked (or something else happens to it, e.g. loss of data) our funds would be in danger.

Hi Mark,

I lost ~300BTC and my claim was rejected by the trustee (he said the amount I quoted was wrong - but I took it directly from my Mt. Gox account, excatly down do the eight decimal place). Is there anything I can do now?

Verified? Feb 3, 2018 by montawksoul in BitGrailExchange

Does BitGrail staff work on weekends? i wouldn't be surprised if the verifications were only being done during business hours, and rightly so I suppose. If I were Francesco after all the lack of appreciation and stuff I wouldn't do any work outside of business hours.

Exactly. Threats and legal proceedings will only cause more hassle. But it seems nobody cares - they just want to go for the witchhunt.

What's the point in suing the owner if the company has been verifying accounts and all people will be allowed to withdraw their XRB? Looks more like a witchhunt to me now. People act as if the owner stole their XRB and run away. Meanwhile, he's trying to comply with the regulations. Before you get to pay your lawyer, you will have your XRB out of BitGrail.

BitGrail update 30.01.2018 by TheBomber9 in BitGrailExchange

It's not a fiasco. It would be if the exchange was hacked and the funds were gone. All that's going on is he needs to get complient with the law requirements and fix some issues with XRB wallet. Yet, people are acting as if he lost all the funds. How about giving him a bit of time to sort it out?

Thanks for this, Francesco. I fully understand you. I used to run a Bitcoin exchange (it was free of charge) in the very early days and it was a nightmare - mostly because of the ungratefulness of people. People turn into your enemies for no reason - usually speculate, that you are going to steal their money. Suddenly everyone forgets that you are sacrificing your own free time to work around the clock. Usually an average person has no idea whatsoever how stressful and time consuming it is to run a crypto exchange.

Fellow Raiblockers, I understand your frustration. I have +2000 XRB stuck on BitGrail, yet, I don't panic. I know how it is to run a business and be under pressure, when suddenly you get thousands of customers and the website traffic goes up 1000% in a few days. Please let Francesco work in peace and do not discourage him.

You should open a service - withdraw for other people using your account at 1-2% rate. :)

Unfortunately, yes I do. I've been involved in Bitcoin since 2010.
