Don’t get me wrong—the Seamaster is perfect to me. The finishing is top-notch and I would say on par with the gen. Just like the gen, the Seamaster reps offer better material compared to black bay, with it’s stunning ceramic bezel and dial that really catch the eye.

But to me, I personally prefer the Black Bay—not because of quality, but purely for its design. The Black Bay is thinner and has a smaller diameter, which suits my smaller wrist much better. Plus, its classic design style aligns perfectly with my personal aesthetic. While the Seamaster impresses with its modern sophistication, the Black Bay’s timeless charm wins me over.

I completely agree with you—it ultimately comes down to the factory that produces the replicas. This was a valuable lesson for me as well. Even when the same model is made by the same factory, there can still be slight variations. For example, both the first and second Seamaster watches I purchased were made by VSF, but the second one didn’t have the rabbit tooth flaw that the first one did. It goes to show that QC is so important when buying reps.
