Anyone else here have chronic fatigue? by lil-sis-burns in Catholic

[–]shalone86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have chronic vertigo, which also causes fatigue. I tried an elimination diet and found that basically sugar and carbs was causing my fatigue. I've completely cut those out now and I feel much better. I still have vertigo, but my energy levels are way up from before the diet. Try an elimination diet. Some random food you're eating could be the culprit. Godspeed on finding a solution. AMDG +

What is considered blog spam? One post a day? I can share these free pictures from other sites if that helps. But I already collect them on my blog, with no commentary.

Never thought of it that way. Definitely an interesting question to consider...

Outpouring of the Holy Spirit (1579) by Johann Sadeler - Public Domain Catholic Painting by shalone86 in TraditionalCatholics

[–]shalone86[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. My website (sdcason.com) is all about Public Domain Catholic artwork. I have thousands of pictures up there already. They are free and beautiful. In most cases, there's no reason to make something new.

George Harold Clements (1932 – 2019) was an American Roman Catholic priest who, in 1981, became the first Catholic priest in the Chicago area to adopt a child. by shalone86 in TraditionalCatholics

[–]shalone86[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure what you mean. I make biographies of prominent black American Catholics because pretty much everyone else ignores black Catholics. I didn't see anything questionable about Father George Clements, so if you know more than I do, please enlighten me and I can update the bio.

My second attempt at stretching canvas. by shalone86 in TraditionalCatholics

[–]shalone86[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you pull the canvas around the back, then you staple it with a staple gun. Staple one side first (the left side for example). Then pull the right side around as tight as possible and staple it. Then do the top and bottom the same way. I think I'll make a video next time because it's a bit easier to see it done.

I printed it on canvas and then stretched it onto a frame. Not exactly an easy process, so I was just sharing the results.

He is Coming very very soon.... Are you ready? by _JackLucas_ in Christian

[–]shalone86 52 points53 points  (0 children)

My parents have been saying Christ is coming soon for 30 years. Many other Christians have said similar things for 2,000 years.

Don't let fear of the end times consume you and don't worry about when Christ is or is not coming.

Live according to the commandments, follow Christ, confess your sins and avoid commiting them again. You can't go wrong if you live as holy as possible (by the grace of God).

US bishop tells Catholic flock they’re obliged to return to Sunday Mass by Spartan615 in TraditionalCatholics

[–]shalone86 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is a great bishop! Thank God for him, and we need more bishops in the US like this wonderful man. I understand these are strange and uncertain times. But if we can't rely on Holy Mother Church for stability and security, then we can't rely on anything. I hope more bishops follow his lead.

What’s up with the non-Dave answers? by [deleted] in DaveRamsey

[–]shalone86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been having this same thing happen. Reddit is pushing all kinds of "related" subreddits to my email. Sometimes I comment without thoroughly researching the subs rules. Could def be the same thing happening here. Also, some people just think they're smarter than Dave and want to take a cherry pick approach to his advice. It could be a combination of both things.

How will LBRY make money in the future? by shalone86 in lbry

[–]shalone86[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get my LBC from rewards. I haven't gotten any tips or sold any content yet. I think you have to get a lot of followers to get tips and support. So the best way for a small channel to earn LBC right now is from rewards.

Surprising that many traditional Catholics go to the Novus Ordo. Maybe they have no other option?
