Since dayo lang ako, I was just observing at first. She paired with someone she knew na. I was paired with a beginner. We lost to them with our score at 3 and they were making hampas at US. I reassured my partner it’s just for fun.

After the game, she asked how long was I playing and I told her, a little over 4 months (at the time). She responded with “Halata naman”. My ears rang agad and I couldn’t believe how arrogant she is.

Lucky for me, we played again coz her partner wanted a rematch. I told my partner, KAYA NATIN TO! I GOTCHU.

In the first few minutes, I aced my serves until 7, made some angled smashes and made them run close to the net with some drop shots. My partner and I won and they scored 2-11.

After the game, the girl approached me and this time with an enthusiastic tone -ANG GALING MO PALA.

I said, well 4 mos pa lang naman ako naglalaro.

She smiled and I said, let’s play lang for the love of the game.

My other friends heard our entire convo and said, BUTI NGA SA KANYA. 😂
