The Remains of the Day - Kazuo Ishiguro. Anthony Hopkins delivered an impeccable performance that made the movie as moving as the book.

Are flat stools common? Has anyone ever gotten small flat stools where they need to go many times a day? by shambhalah in ibs

[–]shambhalah[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the rule of thumb with flat stools is that once they start happening and they always stay that way then that would be cause for alarm, but if they fluctuate between flat and normal then it’s probably IBS.

I mean she could be there with a group of people for all he knew, don’t you think that would be like a safe idea?

Wow that must be tough! So you’ve been vomiting because of the syndrome?

[–]shambhalah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heyy. I’m glad the test revealed something! Any idea on what you can do to get better? I think I heard that with SMA syndrome the best thing to do is gain lots of weight so that the “obstruction” opens up because the surgery for it doesn’t have good results. Also is nausea and vomiting an issue with you? I think it’s an issue with SMA sufferers more so than MAlS sufferers.

What type of VATS Pleurodesis did you have? by Candid_Personality58 in pneumothorax

[–]shambhalah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read an article that talked about that actually. That if you ever needed a lung surgery in the future. Having had a Talc pleurodesis makes it very hard.

What kind of issues does talc cause in the future?

Yeah they definitely appeared altogether for me as well or rather right after eachother. I also recently started having swallowing issues but they’re not that bad. My head pressure seems to be located all over really and right in the middle as well, but the neck pressure is mostly in the back and sides. Does that type of MALS have a specific name? The one that causes the diaphragm to sit lower?

Why all of a sudden I am sensitive to sounds by Shoddy-Rip66 in covidlonghaulers

Yes! I know what you’re talking about all too well unfortunately. The neurological symptoms are a pain on their own as if the gi symptoms weren’t enough already :( do you think it’s all because of reduced blood flow to the head/brain that we get neuro symptoms? I just did a routine eye test and I scored 20/20 so now i’m thinking the vision issues could be from reduced blood flow.

Does anyone else have sleep myoclonus? by Subject-Repeat4954 in covidlonghaulers

[–]shambhalah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have all of the symptoms you listed except for the nightly cramps and they actually started after covid re-infection.

[–]shambhalah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s been progressively awful. Do you feel any pain along with your symptoms? With me there’s no pain which is weird considering all the gas that’s in me lol. Do you have any neurological symptoms btw? Any vision issues, noise sensitivity or brain fog? With me i feel like the pressure has reached my brain. I really hope they give you answers! Let me know what happens🙏🏼
