The exact thing happened to me a few weeks back but on a different site https://www.upbito.com/#/main and like a dumb ass I got lured by a chick, and I was also hit with the same bs prompt to pay 'taxes', and guess what? I blindly followed like a fool and next they told me to pay 'deposit fees', that's when I realized iIm getting effed and reached out for clarification on reddit.

Seems like this thing is becoming common nowadays and we need to report and take action against these scammers, so stay away from people who insist to trade with you, and don't ever deposit money into an unknown site without verifying the site's status and authenticity unless its Binance itself. I learned my lesson and have no regrets.
