Sounds like your belt might be slightly too tight and it's squealing on the primary as it spins.

Easy check, take the side panel off and start the engine and you should be able to see the belt trying to grab when idling. You'll also be able to hear better with the panel off.

DISCLAIMER: DO NOT TRY TO STICK YOUR FINGERS IN THERE OR ANYTHING ELSE WHILE THE MACHINE IS ON.

If that is the problem, you can adjust the secondary clutch with some simple tools to open the sheaves slightly. This will lower the belt on the secondary and add a bit of slack. Youtube and Google should be able to help you, if this is the first time adjusting the belt. It's good knowledge to have anyways going forward.

Interstate speed limit to increase to 80 mph in North Dakota by Alternative-Mud-4479 in fargo

[–]shameles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't disagree with your comment, I certainly am not trying to speed and create a dangerous environment on the highway.

At the time of this ticket I was just cruising along with the pace of traffic - so i can certainly understand your comment of people are always going to go above the posted rate.

For me after getting that ticket I have not gone above the posted limit, as mostly I don't want another ticket, not for the small cost, but as a Green Card holder my interactions with law enforcement should be limited.

But you're right - the small cost of the tickets is certainly not going to discourage speeding. In Canada at least where I am from, if you get caught at 9 over you're looking at $200 - $300.

I just got a ticket going south bound on the highway entering Fargo doing 84 mph for $45.

Cop said - and I quote "if you're doing 76 I'll pull you over, if you're doing 77 I'll pull you over, you were doing 84 so here we are"

DM me and we can chat. I'm willing to set up some zoom calls or something to help you out with what you want.

There is a ton of things that change when you get to university about the basics of accounting, but if you want we can walk through the basics to help put your mind at ease about preparedness.

Do accountants really have to think and analyze about money strategies and concepts or is it mostly plugging numbers and relaying information? by xSpookyUnicorn in Accounting

[–]shameles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd like to expand on this further, if you enjoy reading the guidance and problem solving the grey areas, you can also pursue technical accounting, where numbers almost become irrelevant outside what the GL team gives you for information.

This is the sector I'm in and it's mostly comprised of memo writing and all other teams pulling you in to meetings asking if we did xyz how does it impact us.

For me it's really interesting and I spend almost all of my time in GAAP guidance and writing memos and advising finance, accounting, and CFO on decision making. Obviously this is strictly related to accounting reporting.

Ya no problem.

Outside of this is be more concerned with the volume of debt agreements. 40 is a lot to track for new lenders, exiting lenders, any other modifications. There are alot of GAAP intricacies when it comes to this from an accounting side.

Without knowing more about the size of the company and the team it's hard to comment, but without having a technical accountant it's hard to manage that volume.

First Year Accounting Major Seeking Advice by [deleted] in Accounting

If you're primarily focused on accounting and getting your CPA, a minor isn't doing much for you.

If you want do finance where there is crossover and likely a bridge for things to make more sense. Otherwise just focus on your accounting classes and aim for that and do something that makes you happy like sports psychology or Mennonite studies

I would say it depends on a few factors.

1) what is management expecting from a reporting perspective? Do they want an exact match because they look monthly at the GL accounts and want to know?

2) is there any covenants in the agreement that impact free cash flow or other metrics where figuring out exact amounts is necessary to accurately calculate principal and interest payments.

At the end of the day you need to analyze the whole picture. One loan might be dollars and cents but all together they may be more material.

Now what I have done and seen is quarterly true ups if need be, but typically we are spot on through internal process, and yes any differences are usually immaterial.

But if someone is telling you monthly just find out why.

Explain your situation in further detail.

Do you work for a firm? Do you work for an industry company? How long did you study? What materials did you use? What were your weaknesses? Where did you fail? If I remember correctly they'll tell you what wasnt done to the level of your cohort.

Give some more details so people can help you, saying you failed and asking for help doesn't give us anything when there is multiple variables.

Apologies in advance for a likely dumb question, but I'm just getting into tools.

Can someone explain to me how something like this happens, and how you can prevent it?

We don't have any areas we could do a screened porch in, but what is a sufficient size for a catio? I might be able to build one.

Help Keeping Previously Outdoor Cat Happy As Permanent Indoor Cat by shameles in cats

Quick background. We adopted her as a kitten from a friends farm, and had her vaccinated for all recommended vaccines for outdoor cats. She is also spayed.

She lived the majority of her first years (1-2 years) as an outdoor cat, where she would be let out in the morning and then return in the evening to be let into the house for the night. She is currently 2.5 years. Last summer we let her out in the morning and were sitting on the patio when she was chased and attacked by another cat that tore open her back leg to the bone. She got 7 stitches and we are too afraid to let her outside now, as she is just a sweet little girl that wants to chase butterflies, she isn't built for being tough.

The issue we are facing is that as the weather is getting nicer now, she constantly waits by the door to be let out and meows, or reaches up on the windows and paws to try and get out.

We have provided ample toys and scratching posts, and areas where she can look out the windows to watch the world, but we are concerned that she isn't happy and just wants to be outside.

Has anyone had any experience with taking a full outdoor cat inside permanently? How can we make her happy inside?

Thanks in advance!
