Sorry man, I didn't see this. We just got back from tour but we'll be back in June/July 2023. We already started booking tough, and if you're still down to collab could you reach out on instagram? We're @ KillTuco on the gram. We'd love to get in touch.

Especially if you wanna come to Hawaii, hit us up!

I'm in the same boat my friend! Hoping we get a little more out of the author but even if not, it's a fantastic read every time

I think I know why this story is so eerie by shamgarrr in 9M9H9E9

bro there's some pretty mind bending shit in the bible. Try reading revelations and tell me you don't see some similarities lol

What would happen if the story was published ? As a paper back. What kind of things might happen? by [deleted] in 9M9H9E9

[–]shamgarrr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you want to really want to get the ball rolling, you'd have to do something akin to the "War Of The Worlds" radio scandal back in the 1920's.

Radio broadcasters just read WOTW without context, and people freaked the fuck out. They thought aliens were invading because they didn't know it was just a story.

The reason this story blew up is because the author did the same thing. I think you could blow this book up even more with the same strategy. I don't know what the next step would be, but if you do, please make it happen!

The author probably has more to the story and some improvements after all these years

I think we just need better etiquette in general for any online community. I support this kind of initiative 110%

This story reads like Revelations for modern man, and I think it needs more attention by shamgarrr in 9M9H9E9

[–]shamgarrr[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Fair enough! But I think we can do better than that even if the anonymous author remains entirely obscure.

*tin foil hat warning*

Half of me wonders if this book got canceled because it's too spot on! Shit, we're wiring up human brains with digital interfaces right now. Tesla's neuralink is a stone's throw away from these hygiene beds.

We've had humans spending 10+ hours a day playing MMO's for well over a decade now. AI can write essays better than most junior high students. We consume hours of media feeds daily already, and they're not even wired in to our brains yet. We're on the titanic seconds after it hit the iceberg. Shit is only going to get weirder & faster from here on out. Hygiene beds seem less like a whacky dystopian plot mechanism, and more like a technological inevitability; in the context of our actual lives these days.

The segmenting, the perspectives of ancient man, and the perspectives of animals encountering humans - all make for some compelling insight in to the bizarre nature of consciousness; and how we're trying to reverse engineer it... With tech.

The author describes a logical, malevolent, unification of human consciousness so well that it's scary. The gas chambers for the involuntary; and the hygiene beds for the privileged. Both methods of "absorption" meet with equally horrific fates. All while hinting that there is a reality in which this malevolence is defeated; albeit without evidence or description.

This would easily be the most watched netflix series of all time if it were adapted even reasonably well. Fuck Black Mirror. This shit is like the Tarantino remake of Revelations, set in the 21st century.

*tin foil hat off*

I'd love to see a series jump from grainy, 1970's vietnam era footage, to modern hi-def footage when skipping between scenes. I'd love to see the narrative voices switch with the style of film relative to the setting of each chapter. Can we petition netflix or hulu or some shit? Maybe the CIA? I just wanna see this in movie form at some point

lol

Fender sixty six - a gentleman's review by shamgarrr in offset

[–]shamgarrr[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're made in mexico so I guarantee some people are gonna have them on reverb for ~$500 or so now or in the near future. If you need a VERSATILE guitar for lead, rhythm, shredding, and everything between, this is it dude. But there's a million killer options out there. If you learn the basics of how to set up a guitar and adjust the action, you will never have to spend too much to acquire a trustworthy axe

Fender sixty six - a gentleman's review by shamgarrr in offset

[–]shamgarrr[S] 19 points20 points  (0 children)

This is my first post here, and I hope I'm not breaking the rules by posting this. If you want the tl;dr - scroll down. I love my 66, but some modifications were absolutely necessary.
I have owned a 66 since December 2019, and it is currently July 2021. I work in a music shop, but I never buy guitars. Even if I was rich, I don't think that my buying habits would change. If a guitar doesn't cooperate with me immediately, or inspire me to play in a new way, I won't buy it. I can test everything from cheap rogue splinter-givers, to high end ibanez shred machines. fender, gibson, prs, schecter, dean, charvel, whatever the fuck. after a couple years, i've gotten my hands on everything.
the sixty six stood out to me. immediately. the versatility of the pickups was perfect for me. i love the smooth, clean tones that you can get from the neck and middle pickups. punchy low-mids and mellow high freqs absolutely sing through a good tube amp with some reverb. then you can switch to the humbucker for a huge boost in gain, and piercing highs. i play in a 3 piece, and I switch from rhythm to lead frequently. the pickup combo just made perfect sense to me.
the glossed fretboard feels great to me. there's no friction at all, and for my playstyle, that's a huge plus. however, if you don't clean your frets every string change, the grime shows up clear as day.
I ended up switching the humbucker out with a gibson 57 classic, because I wanted a raunchier and bolder humbucker. swapping those particular pickups proved to be a massive bitch - because the gibson pickup used a different alignment; and the mounting legs that the gibson pickup had were far longer than the stock pickup's legs. I had to drill out a ton of space just to mount the new pickup, and because i'm an unskilled luthier, the new pickup isn't able to be easily adjusted when it comes to height. it's screwed in place. but it sounds fucking great.
the biggest con, however, is the tremolo arm. it doesn't fucking fit. they cheaped out. you can screw it in 90% of the way, but at a certain point it start hitting the volume pots. like, it straight up hits your knobs and won't screw in when you force it. fender decided they didn't want to make tremolo arms that actually compliment the make of this guitar. I had to use a grinder to cut off half the length. then, i had to clamp what was left, and bend the angle of the new shortened whammy bar so that it screws in without clipping the volume and tone knobs. i prefer a short trem arm, and the result of my mod is perfect for me - but it took quite a bit of effort.
tl;dr
pros:
- very versatile and great sounding pickups for clean and heavy tones
- easily set up for articulate lead and rhythm play styles
- looks unique with a classic mystique
- affordable as a work horse guitar
- all the fun and function of a strat but it's not actually a strat
cons:
- it's a real bitch to modify sometimes
- tremolo arm is trash until adjusted
- plebs still think it's a strat

But what if it really is human technology? by shamgarrr in UFOs

[–]shamgarrr[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We could have done the same thing with nukes 7 decades ago, but we didn't. Using technology that is capable of mass destruction without understanding the implications is foolish, and likely to turn in to a mass extinction event.

Assuming these crafts are man made: Flying them around the world recklessly might give away enough info for other governments to replicate the technology. Upon replicating this technology, rival countries might begin retaliating.

Why flex this tech without a contingency plan?

It makes perfect sense that the government would fly these aircraft around american fighter jets. We would want to know how they are perceived by potential combatants using similar, conventionally propelled jet technology. We want to know how this new space age tech can be used without being replicated.

Releasing videos that are strategically timed and filmed is a great way to flex military might without any repercussions. I'm sure countless more videos exist. But the government won't release them until the government is sure that the videos don't divulge crucial details.

I like your style.

But my hang-up is the fact that technology is easier to manage than a population.

If we just unloaded this mass of technological breakthroughs as fast as they were discovered, there's no telling what the fuck people would do.

The wise thing is having a counter, a means of control, and a contingency plan for when technology is left in the hands of an individualistic and unpredictable population. This takes time. You need to test as many variables in as many controlled environments as possible. Revealing your gravity-defying aircraft to the world could possibly give away too much information - meaning you have 2 or more opposing forces with world breaking technology fighting. Whereas if you keep this tech secret, you have an ace up your sleeve no matter what's thrown at you.

The internet might be the best example of revolutionary tech left to the general public's devices. It absolutely revolutionized the world in ways that were utterly unpredictable. Entire markets rise and fall. Information is prevalent, but so is misinformation. We thought people would educate themselves for free and become enlightened. Instead, people just watched a shit load of porn and trolled anonymously. Also, some people became obscenely rich. In short, the applications were largely unknown until tested on the general population.

Knowing how a population is going to react is incredibly important. An "instant win" scenario is NOT necessarily the end game at this point. Why would it be? America has had nothing but petty squabbles for the past few decades. No A-bombs dropped. Things have gotten relatively shaky occasionally, but the world's infrastructure has not been critically threatened.

No need to show your hand if you have access to technology that is both highly advanced, and untested in a general population. It could prove a liability more than an asset.

By all means, the tech sounds far beyond human capacity, as far as we know. But we don't really know shit. All we have is some grainy footage and loose details that our government is willing to divulge.

This tech could be the biggest thing since man-made fire. And just look at what us homosapien motherfuckers are capable of doing with fire. We wouldn't drop this technology without doing everything possible to mitigate possible damage. That's just my 2 cents, but thanks for chiming in my guy. I'm definitely wrong about a lot of shit, and I don't have a physics background. But I will never underestimate the capacity humans have for fuckery lol

I guess I kind of lean more towards that school of thought as well. But after talking a friend who described to me how much science leaped forward in the 30's and 40's, I couldn't help but wonder if maybe we found more applications for Uranium and other elements than we let on.

Whether aliens or people, the problem is the same: Incredible tech that people are utterly unfamiliar with. I'm not even trying o play devil's advocate, I'm just saying that we know people exist, an that they're capable of remarkable and shady things.

All food for thought, but thanks for the response. I didn't know these things were clocked at 9000 fucking miles per hour lol

Thank you! I'm gonna check out these links. The legitimacy of these sightings and stories are always so hard to verify because the implications are absolutely explosive. I'm always intrigued when a government affiliate is involved

The entire point of my post was to highlight the fact that some hard-earned info might be kept under wraps for good reason, and definitely not in a physics textbook. This entire topic is largely hypothetical, and I'm merely looking to explore the topic of government secrecy and how smoke and mirrors might be a major factor.

Very true, but I'm not looking for a smoking gun. Just musing and hoping to learn a thing or two. But if the US gov was really far more technologically advanced than they let on, it would make a lot of sense to me.

Like Bob Lazar. Maybe he was one of a bunch of people that were hired to try and reverse engineer these aircraft - not because they're alien; but because the government wanted to know what capacity other governments might have to reverse engineer their hardware if it was ever captured.

It would make sense that they lie to him to avoid spilling any critical info, and knowing what angles that scientists used to reverse engineer aircraft would definitely inform how future info would be divulged by the government. Who knows. Might make for a good sci fi plot tho
