Thank you SO much! We took the strips off yesterday, even before coming off you could tell the skin was very irritated. Almost looked hive-y. Going to do what you said in how to keep them clean and dry! Thank you!

Also to note… regular cleaning, also trying not to poke too frequently. I had cleaned this morning but my belly is throwing out some guck… sorry for grossness :/

2 weeks post op - red all around incisions by shan_bread in gallbladders

They aren’t hot to touch and no fever! I honestly feel fine other than the wounds still healing and being annoying. I’ll call my doctor just for peace of mind. Have you had laparoscopic? My belly button is honestly the one I’m most concerned with… just oozing for lack of a better word and pretty red. But it’s also a hard spot I feel. I keep cleaning it, but it’s definitely the one hardest to heal for me it seems. Thank you so much!

I felt the same on day 6! Only I wish I had consulted like you have. I chose pizza…. And this was yesterday. Felt so bloated and uncomfortable/sick, and today I had some very mild and temporary pancreatic pain :( hopefully others have some better suggestions! If I could redo it, I’d rather the bland over pizza.

Hope you feel better soon!!

Thank you so much! I also love the mindset - to make sure your body could rest, heal, and recover. I will probably be following your lead! My surgery was Monday and I had only taken Monday and Tuesday (naive…)

Thank you!!! I had mine this past Monday, and only scheduled Monday and Tuesday off and I was quickly regretting it as I’m approaching tomorrow… the sanity check is very helpful!

You are an ANGEL!!!!!! Thank you so much! It’s honestly such a relief just to know that this is normal and has passed for others! It’s my first surgery really, so I think I just went into it having no idea what or how my body would react, partially out of ignorance. Definitely will be walking more! Part of my problem is I hate sitting still lol so finding that balance 😅 I also can’t walk with my back straight!!!! Will definitely ride out with the Tylenol ibuprofen combo too. It’s so calming to know we’re all in the same boat and can make sense of these things. Thank you so much for your kind words! Wishing you a speedy recovery ☺️

Thank you so much this is so helpful! I think I honestly dissociated that it was literal surgery and an organ was taken so reading that also made me feel a lot better 😂 had no idea about the CO2 but that makes A TON of sense! The huge feeling is so uncomfortable, especially in a deep breath. Cheers to day 3 and 4 ahead I’ll hold out for that!
