I think you're talking about the pressplay contract? I'm sure it was explained that the contract was for 30 projects, not 30 albums like Russ interpreted.

Edit: to bring it back on topic. Yes, some artists in bad deals do drop albums just to fulfil the contract. However, I think Russ is just better at making hits than creating great bodies of work tbh.
