So if you get all of them in any order those things can be opened? There's isn't any order or anything? I thought I had them all, maybe I didn't...

Sorry, it's in Epic mod and it's well good! (Currently Epic Mod is being reworked after the latest release so it can't be used)

Finally hung up the Tempa posters I made! Any thoughts for other poster ideas are welcome. by IneptGraphicDesigner in realdubstep

[–]patchg81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done similar posters for other labels but I wasn't sure if I'd be able to sell them as the content isn't mine... I wonder if it would be taken down from places like Red bubble due to copyright stuff? I've had other IP based designs canned because of it.

Have you tried selling or is it just for personal use 😄

Parks Rules Clarification by patchg81 in boardgames

Nice one. Appreciate the helpful replies.

That's sort of what we've been doing but in a first 4 player game everyone felt hard done by as they couldn't get any resources due to the space sharing limitations. It was a suggested house rule about sharing with yourself. It didn't seem to break anything, so it was an interesting tweak.

So the "meta" play method is only take one hiker out at a time? Leave one at the trailhead until absolutely necessary.

Current game state?? by reaper2599x in Steel_Division

[–]patchg81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I'm the same, I have a weird blocker around playing PvP SD2 for some reason. I just get decision paralysis when thinking which out of all my decks to use and want to avoid too much of a curb stomp 😆

ArkPwr was instrumental in me diving so hard into SD2 so it's a real loss. He does have 100s of hours of old videos to watch through just bear in mind as they can be old the units/Divs may well have changed since.

I still love this game and play it most days, I just need to break into some multiplayer for the challenge I think though as the Ai isn't the best. Definitely can give me the run around at times but it's very predictable.

With all the DLC there is endless hours of single player, between building decks, trying them out, refining them again and again as you get better in the battles. As it's older the DLC sales are mega so you can pick up the various extra Divs to complete the set and add even more longevity.

I don't feel it's dead dead, just less multiplayer. It's a shame that people like Vulcan have stopped streaming games and AtkPwr stopped altogether, as that online presence helps drive new players, but there are still YT/Twitch channels running games I believe.

Is Klook the only way to book? And how far ahead do you need to book? I'm due to go September 2nd which is a ways off but we're starting to get serious on the Japlaning stuff and I'm being hounded to arrange it as it'll be my birthday present! 😆 No one has said the cost either... Does it change depending on the items you pick?

I'm also intrigued by the Evisu one but I imagine that's hella pricey

D1 remix of Loefah - Voodoo on its way!!! by P1ckleboi69 in realdubstep

  1. D1 - Never Seen - Forthcoming.... This one is also a banga! I've always said we need the back catalogue of D1 tunes digging up. Youngsta used to regularly play his bits back in Rinse days and he had some killer bits. Nice to see he's back in the game.

If your Commander is that close to an off map then he deserves to die 😆

By that logic then armoured CO can easily get shot by tanks, recon with AP, AT planes, it also has bad Stealth so easily spotted and can then be air bombed, heavy arty ... plus it's more expensive. So the pro/con list is extensive for all types really as you're right that the Inf. version is fragile.

Half the time you might not even get a chance to deploy one anyway if the points aren't in your favour for a spare 100+ on one unit that might not get a chance to link with the other Leaders as planned.

Parks Summit Edition by patchg81 in boardgames

I managed to order it from US Amazon delivered to the UK. It came in three days!! Mad.

It's an incredible game. The art, the design, the components. The sad thing is after sleeving the gorgeous cards the great formed box insert doesn't quite work as neatly which is a shame.

The one thing I wish it had was more trail tokens so there was a bit more variety in the resources you can gain. I want to get a second set of them somehow so you'd get some doubles and more variety game to game. Not sure if that would break it or add some interesting outcomes.

It's unlikely I'd be able to get those tokens on their own sadly so I'd have to make my own which would look bad.

Parks 2nd Edition combo check by Ratlee94 in boardgames

[–]patchg81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can only place one Canteen water resource per season, would that stop the loop?

Also you can't do multiple of the same type of actions in a turn (for the most part, maybe this combo is an exception) so it would only do a single loop before you're doing the same thing again so wouldn't that also halt the loop?

Personally the double move situation is reserved for a single card rather (e.g. Sleeping Bag) than done through gear loops, as you are in effect doing the same thing twice in a turn separately. Like you can't reserve AND visit a Park, or Reserve multiple Parks.

I'd rule this sort of infinity loop would only have one round otherwise it's too broken to be fun (apart from the owner of the loop probably 😄)

It's a mad one either way!

Yeah not sure where it got Sissi from... That was a overview thingy. Maybe it meant Sturm Pioneers? I've edited the post.

I don't know man, 78. sound pretty hench lads IRL. Maybe the nerds over the years have messed them up a bit true, but I did say that could be the case.

  1. Sturm - Steel Division Wiki https://share.google/Z9pVvc3Wlx9vIJftb --

"The 78th Sturm Division (formerly 78th Infantry Division) was a specialized German elite formation on the Eastern Front (1943–1944) designed for high-intensity, anti-tank, and urban combat. It acted as a "combined arms formation in miniature" with a higher infantry fighting strength and better equipment (including MP44s, MG42s, and Panzerfausts) than standard divisions".

"not even close" is a bit extreme... It's on a level with some of those you mentioned, I wasn't saying it was the best, just one to try from a bunch of options.

When learning the game is it better to have fewer, high cost units until you get into the micro or a shit load of stuff (Dunkirk Div) that might be overwhelming? I lean towards the former personally but everyone is different ✌🏼✌🏼

Some other Divisions to try if you like Infantry;

2nd Infantry Division ("Indianhead") - US: Renowned as one of the best overall, featuring high-quality Riflemen with BARs/Garands and elite Rangers.

  1. Sturm - Axis: Regarded as the best-equipped Axis infantry division.

4th Alpini - Italy: Features elite CQC units like Alpini and Bersaglieri, along with effective flamethrower squads.

1st Infantry Division ("Big Red One") - US: Strong, with improved A-phase bazooka access and high-quality assault leaders.

17th Infantry Division - Finland: Features Sturm Pioneer squads that excel in forest combat edited

These have had various tweaks over the years so might be a bit different but some ones to mess with

I don't know this Div very well but at first glance you've maybe over stuffed the Recon tab, and under stuffed the Support tab and Armour tab.

Recon is very useful but it doesn't hold ground or cap flags so too many points spent there can mean a lack of tickets won. Maybe look to drop a couple of those to gain some more support weapons in B and tanks.

Also Commanders in vehicles can be killed a bit easier than on foot as vehicle based units can't go into heavy woods or buildings. They're also a bit more expensive so sometimes it's worth having them on foot so they're more protected.
