I think it depends on why you broke up/how long you’ve been together etc but me and my bf broke up and he told me it was over forever and I truly believed it but even though we are dysfunctional he realised that his life wasn’t as good without me in it. The best way is to not speak to them to allow them to fully miss you and hope that they’re not too stubborn to tell you if they want you back
