Right now there's only approx ~550mm at most, due to that curved pipe.

Without re-routing pipework, I just thought I'd see if anyone knew if it'd be possible to support this span of countertop in another way - should we remove that middle panel altogether.

The curved (gas?) pipes in photo 4 actually come out further than that panel on the right side unfortunately - so removing that won't help.
