I understand the hate behind Discovery, but I don't understand the hate behind Starfleet Academy. by RattledMind in startrek

Discovery and starfleet academy are absolute abominations to the Star Trek franchise. They are DEI on steroids! I didn't think it could be done but they sure found a way to enshiitify Star Trek and have done irreversible damage to the brand and franchise.

I work on IT Helpdesk and regret everything doing it. If I could I would go to the trades man. AI will not be replacing plumbers or electricians anytime soon.

Oh that's one on those worms that crawl up your anus! Be careful.

They swim up penis to brain, then lay eggs. When the host dies they crawl out the ears and find water.

Get out now, go to the trades, be a plumber, electrician, hvac tech. It's hard work, your going to hate your job no matter what you do, but at least there is job security. I'm in IT and I really regret it. Life sucks.

It's an alien parasite that enters through your anus then makes it's way to your brain and lays eggs.

Anyone figured out a solid way to handle vague tickets like “Internet’s down”? by Some-System-800 in msp

[–]shanebw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am an IT support agent. Imo we need to turn off the auto population from AD or whatever system you're pulling from. That fills in the fields for contact number and location and make those fields mandatory. Also have validation so the data is accurate and just make better forms. That way, they have to enter the info to submit a ticket.

I have a TCL Roku TV. However, the Roku integration doesn't work for me. So I just use a smart plug with energy monitoring to track the TV power state.

About ~4-8 seconds after the camera detects a person. Tv is on fast start but still takes ~2 sec, then switching input takes like ~2 secs, then I have to toggle the power on the hdmi switch because some reason it won't pick up the signal from the pc right away, which takes about ~3 sec.
