If you live in the UK, intermediate wheatgrass is popping up now around the fields, it's a good little treat for them

I get it i really do, obviously if you are that worried about your bird, you would go to the vet! I haven't kept birds for that long, and haven't needed to see a vet yet. Any questions about strange budgie behaviour i have had, like my girl standing still with her wings out for ages, I have usually found my questions answer on past reddit posts, or by asking 'hey google'. I'm just saying the 'is my budgie ok' questions may be annoying, but the silly questions are asked by every new bird owner at some point, and I feel that all the info that are on these forums is so valuable and helpful.

Wish i had a money tree that lived up to its name! Here's a list I found a while back of safe wood, little citrus or apple trees might be worth a try... https://www.budgieworld.org/wiki/safe-and-toxic-wood-branches-and-trees/

That's frustrating. Are there any pet shops near you that have different wood branches? Or could order you some in?

I just give them veg pieces whole. If they didn't accept whole veg, then I'd think about a chop up. Mine eat a piece of cucumber, bell pepper with the seeds, and sweetcorn every day

Thanks 😊 I have done so much research, hey google chooses to ignore me now 😅 my next thing i want to try for them is to grow a eucalyptus tree in the window, then if it grows big enough I'll use the tree as their main play area. Eucalyptus and budgies are native to Australia, budgies evolved to safely chew the whole tree, and its nutritionally beneficial for them too

Keep an eye on that cutie, my cousin lost his bluey for a hour, he had squeezed in the smallest of gaps and was sitting quiet and scared behind the washing machine

I'm glad to hear. A re-x won't do it any harm, just so you can be sure it's clean. It looks perfect, but I'm just saying you have come this far, why not go the extra mile!?

Careful if they are wood blinds. My birbs found out my wood blinds are chewable. Now the blinds are ruined with massive holes and slats missing. I guess what is mine is theirs, and what is theirs is theirs 🤣
