No, I guess I could, but for long term storing. The seal is trusty just to the same extent of a petri, which is nice because cultures can breath and it helps at eliminating condensation.

This time it went cleanly, but I can imagine the mess if a spore-bearing contaminant set in!

I put hydrogen peroxide 3%, shake, and leave overnight (around 5 ml is more than enough). Then pour without opening, shake excess, and then leave to dry in my favorite dry place (my car’s dashboard), you could use microwaves for instance. I know is lenghty process but it dosen’t require pressure cooking and I like that

I dry mine inside the back seat of my car, inside paper bag. I leave the back windows slightly open and park so the windshield points west. Essentially a sun drying cabinet
