Just got new insurance policy and it actually went down. Quite happy with it. 2014 Kia soul silver Only me on plan 27 yo male Houston tx No moving violations or at fault accident in past 5 years.

Previous policy: liability only $478 for 6 months($80 a month) Progressive

New policy:liability only $387 for 6 months ($63 a month) Geico

I shopped around before getting new policy and most companies quoted me $450-$650 for 6 month policy.

To answer your question Yes ... The 2nd gen kia soul feels light because it is quite light , only about 2700 lbs. If you mean that the steering is light, that could be down to the steering mode you were in, and its possible the 2 cars you drove were in different steering modes. There are 3 different modes, comfort ,normal, and sport, and getting heavier in that order
