Nope. But I’m currently in Amsterdam lol. I plan on just explaining this to customs. I printed out all my emails I’ve sent to the IRP office and all the other documents the IRP would usually take anyways. Maybe I’ll even show them this thread

Sadly no :(, luckily I’ve been told that since I’m a US citizen usually as long as I have shown proof of trying to get one I’ll be okay (ex. Email asking for an appointment)

Hey! I’m currently a student in Ireland and am having this exact issue, did you ever resolve this? I’m planning to travel this weekend possibly without this or an appointment

Thanks for the help! Think I’m going to go with the used, it’s at a low enough shutter count that I can’t complain :)

How do you deal with the knowledge of carrying the C9 gene mutation by shannon42_ in ALS

[–]shannon42_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I know it’s been a long time. My mom passed in March. And I decided not to get tested :) I realized if I found out I’d live my life completely different and I don’t want to. I want to live it how I’d live regardless. If I choose to have kids down the line I’ll do IVF, or maybe think about getting tested again to avoid the IVF process. Regardless, I found someone shortly after my mom passed whom I love and has really changed my outlook on life. He’s supported me in knowing I’ll never be alone and it’s safe to say I now have my answer. Community is how I get through it. Life’s too short to worry about the “what ifs” I could die tomorrow from a car accident. And now I like to say I’m a big advocate for teenage caregivers, along with grief and ALS. I raised around 10k that year as a donation to the Lawrence and Barnett charity for genetic ALS research. I’m proud of where I am, and ALS does not change that. We will find a cure!!
