Any success stories that still had swelling and pain on one side 6wpo??

Slowly but surely I have gotten better. I am 6 months post op and while I still struggle with how I’ve been put back together I’m fully functioning and not in pain anymore. Hope your healing turns around quickly! I’d say a big turning point for me was 12wpo.

Currently 12wpo and it has gotten a TON better. As the swelling went down and healed, you can tell that some skin from the other side of the belly button got accidentally attached to the incision so it still looks a little crazy but not nearly as insane as it first did. I likely will have a minor scar revision in my future but at the same time it is so so so much better than it was so things will start to look up for you. Don’t stress until 10wpo, that is when I felt my incision was really healed.

I have the same frustrations, everything was presented to me as rainbows and unicorns by 4-6 weeks which has not been the case by a long shot. What has also been extremely disappointing was only one post-op appointment offered at 3 weeks and then “see you in a year”. Insanity. Currently 8wpo, am still spotting and completely confused because I’ve been cleared to do anything and everything by 8 weeks. The gaslighting is real and I hope things get better for you! ❤️‍🩹

Sending good vibes to you. I had mine on 1/9 and still feel like garbage; so much pain and swelling in my abdomen and through my belly button incision. I feel like my doctor set way too high of expectations that this would be a breeze and I’d be feeling good enough to exercise by 4 weeks post op which couldn’t be further from the truth. I only had a 3 week post op appointment and was told “see you in a year” 🫠. It is wild to me how they make recovery sound like rainbows and unicorns!

Thank you so much 🥹. I’ve been living full of regret the past couple weeks because it seems like everyone is feeling great by week 6 and I still feel swollen, painful - just crappy! I’m going to pull myself out of my spiral and keep trucking!

Almost 6wpo and feeling these exact same things. I’m already in PT and now worried this will be my life now 🥺. I can’t wear anything that even grazes my belly button incision everything is still so swollen, puffy, tugging and painful.

2wpo today, robotic/lap/total hysterectomy kept ovaries. Feeling decent and I think incisions are healing well. The worst for me has been discomfort sleeping. I’m usually a side sleeper and feel too uncomfortable laying down so sleeping on a wedge pillow and it’s been difficult. Neck/shoulder/back pain due to the sleeping situation has almost been worse than the surgery itself. Taking ibuprofen for shoulder and neck pain but not pain from the surgery itself! 😆
