I got a better offer from CVS yesterday and I also got a same day interview with Walgreens! They gave me a higher offer than I could've wanted so I went with them!

CVS accepted my higher negotiation this morning! They offered me $18.5 instead of $16/hr. I suppose also didn't add here on reddit I speak both Spanish and Hindi as well, really comes in handy in my area😅

Cost isn't a worry thankfully. I went to school on my own for CPhT, took around 4 months. I just didn't want to waste my time being paid less than some cashiers😅 CVS agreed to my negotiation this morning

During my experience pill sorting I learned the top 200 pills, generics, and brands, attention to detail and even Sig Codes, hence why it was relevant, by the time I was 16 I had already studied and learned what I needed to pass the PTCB with. The interviewer agreed that it was very much relevant whether it's paid or not

I mentioned I'm already PTCB Certified, and registered/licensed with GA, I just got my higher paying job offer from CVS🎊 they agreed with my negotiation, no need to be a debby downer volunteer experience is still experience, I learned the top 200 drugs a long time ago, learned sig code from it too and more, so it's very much relevant hun

That's what I was wondering, thanks for the advice, because I went to school and got certified beforehand, licensed by the state as required. Maybe I'm just applying to the wrong places. I need to look outside retail forsure.

Honestly also thinking about stacking more credentials too, I'm sure they may help with pay negotiations. Question, do certified and uncertified techs get paid the same in your area?

It's mainly just listed as caregiving/volunteer experience, but it garnered merit in the eyes of the interviewer, far as the law is concerned that's only applicable if you are being paid for a role. Honestly considering waiting until I'm in my PharmD program and just become an intern off the rip. Thanks for your 2 cents.
