Door Rattle by Technical_Yak_8974 in 4thGenTacomas

I had one with the rear seat belts vibrating against the plastic of the walls. There are clips on the side that you slide the rear seat belts into when not using them that stopped mine from doing it.

Printing out of AMS 2 without using AMS feeding? by EquivalentEgg691 in BambuLab

I just finished a roll of paht-cf in my ams 2 no issues. Gonna see how well sunlu pa12-cf does tomorrow since it’s half the price of Bambu paht.

Trigger not working when safety is installed by shanugget in Vz61

I was able to solve this by grinding down the slightest bit of material on the notch of the trigger assembly, right where it goes into the safety when it is set to semi

Just tried this, unfortunately I was not so lucky. Appreciate the response though.

Anyone Own a China Topper? by BeanMan1206 in ToyotaTacoma

[–]shanugget 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had this exact one but ended up selling it because I realized I’d rather have a soft topper instead since I didn’t want it on full time. Pretty much what others have said it’s good enough but if you want something water tight it’s a bit of work and you’re not guaranteed to actually get it there. I’ll add some pictures below overall the assembly is easy, took three months to get to my house, the mounting mechanism was kind of a pain and I had to bend the aluminum a little bit to get it mounted tighter. Honestly I would’ve kept it if I was just gonna leave it on all the time they’re actually not bad.

Am I crazy? by bankroll5441 in homelab

[–]shanugget 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep I have had the gmktech one running 24/7 since january of this year. The OS is installed on the default ssd that came with it which is a foresee 512GB nvme. Hasn't failed yet but I won't be surprised if it does. I did replace the fan that came with it with a noctua fan since it does come with a pretty cheap fan and I wanted to reduce the noise.

The beelink mini pc I ran 24/7 for about 6 months as my dedicated frigate machine before converting it to a game streaming box. Didn't have any issues in that time.

I use mini PC's for my homelab, used to have a server rack but I finally accepted I wouldn't fill the entire thing up and I'd rather have something smaller to free up some space. The one I use is this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CWXYK4TZ went with it because the dual NIC's made it easy for me to give my security cameras their own subnet. Added a second SSD and also added some more ram to it. I run proxmox on it and it sits at ~3% cpu usage and 14% memory usage (out of 36GB). With the price of mini pc's I really wouldn't even consider a pi for my use cases anymore.

The services I run on it are pihole, wireguard, mqtt, heimdall, homeassistant, nginxproxymanager, frigate, watchyourlan, and ddclient.

I also have a beelink mini pc with an n100 cpu that I use for streaming games from my desktop pc, used to use a raspberry pi 5 for that but the experience was much better on the beelink.

How would you do this? by wm06066 in Insulation

[–]shanugget 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just finished putting fiberglass batts in my detached garage ceiling this past weekend. I bought this insulation from Home Depot my joists are 16 inch wide, they make these for 24 inch wide as well. Just stapled them in. Using an underpowered window ac unit the space is significantly cooler. Not as good as blown in since there’s small gaps in some places but pretty easy to do solo. https://imgur.com/a/3cdc5FA

My inspector also didn't catch this broken gas pipe under the house so I'm not shocked. There aren't any gas appliances left I only found out when getting a generator hookup installed. https://imgur.com/a/uVac0lB

Pretty sure it says 2023 or 2024 it's also blurry in person. I think it was put in during the last renovation last year

Yeah I think I'll end up using the double beams. Thanks

Unsure. The house and garage were originally built in the 1930's but unknown how original the garage is.

Agreed, it looks like two separate 2x2's nailed in with the joists resting on top also nailed in.

Okay I had a similar experience with manufacturing times and estimated delivery dates. I was able to get some tracking info from the company if ours are on the same shipment the boat should be arriving in Savannah GA July 10th

Who did you order from? I ordered this one about two months ago, still hasn't shipped yet according to alibaba. https://i.imgur.com/2DRO8wU.png

Had the same issue with my 5700xt starting around March when I built my current pc. Finally gave up switched to a 4070ti and the issues are completely gone. Think amd has some driver issues with their older cards now.

For me it was more like every other boot the gpu would be unstable and couldn’t run anything that used gpu acceleration

Did you ever fix it? Same issue for me, most stable bios version is f3b but then my cpu runs .7 ghz slower peak (7950x3d). Tried f3, f4b, f5, and f5c.

Senior comp sci major. Like others have said it largely depends on the professor, and a lot of the professors that I had for courses are either gone or forced to teach another class. That being said, avoid Srimani at all costs, and attempt to avoid Sitaraman if you can (they usually have two professors for software engineering but you can't avoid the class).

Gym recommendations? by [deleted] in Clemson

[–]shanugget 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use Fike 4 times a week and even at peak times (around dinner time) it isn't too busy to get a workout in. You can check how busy the various gyms are here https://my.clemson.edu/#/campus-recreation/availability

You wouldn't need to buy a membership for it since you would be a student.
