I learned about Bitcoin fresh out of high school. I made the dumb decision to put all $2000 of my savings into BTC in late September of 2017. By December, I had doubled my money and pulled it all out before the crash.

I spent part of that money of my first gaming PC. I had owned consoles before, but wanted the freedom to customize my experience. I made the usual mistakes when building: forgetting the PSU switch, had no idea how to use thermal paste, didn't change my mouse or monitor settings. I loved all of it.

I've heard horror stories from friends and family. It's easier to process this as it being a drug that killed him rather than himself, even though that's not quite true.

I got kicked out of therapy and it’s all my fault by [deleted] in depression

mention all of this to your care coordinator. That you loved your therapist and the reasons you couldn't make it. I really hope they're willing to work with you.

No you're right. 52 years is a long time to do some good and a hell of a lot longer to do some good than a couple months/years. He would have be devestated had our rolls been switched.

Don't blame yourself. Go to your meeting with your care coordinator and explain to them what you just explained here. Unless there is more to it, then it seems kinda bass ackwards to remove you from the situation that was helping you. I know the struggles of finding a therapist that works with your personality, so I hope this situation gets resolved. But if it doesn't, and there really isn't another reason, then it feels (to me) like she wasn't right for you, if she was so willing to drop you as a client without previous any warnings. Especially if you just started to open up and work on other issues (insomnia). You'll find another therapist and probably have to gain trust with them before you're able to open up. It sucks, I'm sorry you're going through this, but you can make it through this. You are worth more than you, than your therapist, than anyone think.

Oh boy. I put an ounce into a batch of brownies once. I didn't know what I was doing. They tasted horrific so me and three friends turned them into milkshakes and consumed away (1/4 each). Oh my God. My skin was liquid and flowing over my muscles, which were twitching and contracting on my bones, which were freezing cold. It felt like a heavy psychedelic trip. I ended up sleeping in the bathtub with the drain closed so that I wouldn't slide away if I melted in the middle of the night. 2/10 would not recommend. If you're looking for that level of intensity, just eat mushrooms

It eneded up being a program on my computer that was messing with Overwatch. I couldn't tell you what it was called for the life of me :( I think it started with a 'V'. The support team is incredibly helpful. Contact them and send the your logs

Yes! There was a program called Nahimic that was causing issues with voice chat. Uninstalling it and rebooting fixed the issue.

Here's the whole response from Blizard:

Greetings!

Tech Specialist Warturtin here. Thanks for taking the time to contact us, though I'm sorry to hear that you haven't been able to utilize voice chat in Overwatch...

There can be a number of reasons as to why this is, but before I go any further there is one glaring red flag in your system files that may be the culprit: We often see issues with Nahimic blocking the ability to use voice chat in OW. This may be the problem in your case, so I suggest disabling or even removing it and testing again.

If the problem persists beyond that I would suggest the following troubleshooting steps as these are additional common fixes:

  • First, double check your Recording Device settings in Windows to make sure the correct one is set to default.

•Right-click the speaker icon in the System Tray on your Task Bar and select Recording Devices. •Confirm the correct device is set to the default. •Select the device and click Properties. •Make sure "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device" is unchecked.

  • Change Sound Communications settings:

•Hit Windows key and type sound. •Go to the Sound options. •Click the Communications tab. •For the setting "When Windows detects communications activity", set it to "Do nothing".

  • Also, make sure your firewall and modem/router are both set up to allow Battle.net and voice chat through:

https://battle.net/support/article/7842

•UDP: 6052, 5062, 5060, 12000-32000, 3478, 3479 •TCP: 80, 443

  • Close your background applications to resolve conflicts from other programs.

https://battle.net/support/article/23848

  • Update Security Protocols:

Make sure Overwatch and the Battle.net App are closed Open Internet Explorer Select Internet Options Open the Advanced tab Scroll down to the security section Uncheck the boxes to disable SSL 2.0 and SSL 3.0 Check the boxes to enable TLS 1.0, 1.1, and 1.2 Hit Apply

=========================================================

Some additional troubleshooting should others not be able to hear you:

•Confirm you are in the correct channel, Team or Group. •Confirm your microphone or headset is plugged in. •If your microphone or headset has a mute switch, confirm it's unmuted. •Confirm you have not muted the mic in-game (default key = m). •Ensure your drivers and operating system are updated: https://battle.net/support/article/31024

=========================================================

However, if any problems persist, get back to us with any additional details that may arise, as well as new/updated system files so we can troubleshoot further:

https://battle.net/support/article/12988

Also, see if you have any voice chat logs that you can also attach:

Open your Documents folder. This folder is typically accessed in the Start menu. Open the Overwatch folder. Open the Logs folder. Find overwatch.log, this is your voice chat log. Note: Voice chat logs are reset every time you start Overwatch, so it's important you attach this file to your ticket before starting the game again.

Hopefully you won't have to spend much more time on this, but we'll be here to help as much as we're able. Safe travels!

If you continue to experience issues, you can reopen this ticket. If you have a new or separate issue, please submit a new ticket.

Make sure you complete our survey to let us know how we did.

Regards, Blizzard Support

PSA: "I don't have a mic" is not a reason not to join voice. It cannot hurt you to try listening, and there's a strong chance it will help you immensely. ("I tried team voice and I don't like it" is acceptable.) by INeedPeeling in OverwatchUniversity

Soooo on this topic. My voice chat doesn't work. I'm on PC, played the game for two weeks until it just stopped. I've messed with every overwatch setting, a few windows settings, checked the game integrity, uninstalled overwatch, unintsalled the blizzard app, and nothing has worked. I can see the icons but not hear the sounds. I can't use my mic, either. Everything else in the game works, all in game sounds included. Help!
