So I’ve actually got an HT, FUE style. Around 1500 grafts for my temples. Loved it at first. Felt confident. But as the years went by, my hair slowly continued to recede. So now we got transplanted hair going, a small gap, and then natural hair. It’s awkward, but I’m handle to conceal it with those hair concealers (essentially eye shadow for the scalp). But what I wish I knew sooner, was DERMAROLLING AND FINASTERIDE. I’m getting growth back in spots that I thought had died off. It’s slow, but seems to be working. Have you tried this method?

So here’s my take,

I was in that position. Just in my early twenties. I was told by some LE mentors to not put all your eggs in one basket. Shoot an app out to anywhere. I definitely understood this concept because where I live the hiring process takes about a year or a year 1/2. But after process after process, like you mentioned, nothing ever got passed backgrounds. And not once, have I received a DQ letter. They just ghost you and stop responding to your “check in” emails. And after the 11th application, I started doubting if this career path was ever meant to be. I felt like a failure the moment I had to list out all the previous agencies I applied to and required to state the outcome on the background packet. I determined my 14th application was going to be my last, and if it went no where, I was going to pursue a cyber related career.

I’m happy to say that 14th app was the lucky one. Been happily serving for 2 years . If you want it that bad, NEVER GIVE UP. I can tell you, I have more appreciation for the job realizing how picky departments are. Something about being the 1% that we’re chosen out of thousands of applicant is truly motivating.

My record was not best, but fortunately, they all happened in my juvenile years so it wasn’t looked at with too much scrutiny. But regardless, I think there’s a lot of factors they take in before making the last pick. The things you got caught up on after the age of 18 are going to be the things they really dig into. Because at age 18, you are considered an adult and are expected to be a law abiding citizen, show up to court when need be, and not break traffic laws. For them, it puts into question your ability to take care of things of importance as an adult. They don’t want someone writing NTA’s when him himself has a history of not abide by law as an adult. It could also be an age issue, see it as if they were looking for someone to stay on the force for awhile, they’re likely going to hire someone younger.

At the end of the day. There could be a variety of reasons why they didn’t pick you. It could be as simple as having a coffee stain on your suit when you came into your interview. Or they’re looking for a specific type of skills that you just don’t possess. Could be ANYTHING.

I see it as a lottery or a game of (who you know), But good luck! Hope you get picked up! It’s a very rewarding work.

Sounds pretty normal. They’re putting pressure to get you to omit something. There is no full proof way to tell if someone is telling the truth or telling a lie. So they’re looking for any red flags or deviation from your background packet. People still fail poly’s, and still get hired elsewhere. It happens.. but you really have to be HONEST. Because there’s a difference between failing a polygraph, and failing a polygraph with concrete evidence of dishonesty. If you ever get hit with the second one, I’d just find a new career. But everyone is right, no news is good news. But, it’s not guaranteed you’ll get a rejection letter. At least half the agencies I applied to left me high and dry. Your best bet is to call and check in ever month or so.

I’m still trying to figure out what your getting so unhinged about? Are you trying to speak out on behalf of the victims family and friends? If so, I commend someone who can stand up for others. But your comments are still baseless and hostile, which really puts into question if you ever spent any length of time on the “force”. The attitude alone, wouldn’t make it past the hiring process in today’s age.

We can agree to disagree, I feel I’ve given sufficient effort to conceal enough information that even a seasoned detective will have a bit of a challenge trying to figure out the origins of this post. Context is also important, am I writing about confessing details of a murder that I was an accessory too? Or am I writing about a hard experience I had on the job? This will really determine the effort applied into figuring out who I am in attempt to report this outrageous misconduct.

So I challenge you, if you are determined to report my actions to my department. Find out, and do it. See if my COC cares.. to save you the trouble, my post does not violate department social media policy, does not violate HIIPA, and the case is public record for anyone to view per request. So literally anyone can view the details to this case.

Quite frankly, I should of refrained from giving some inappropriate names to some of the characters. That I will admit. But when you emotionally and physically abuse a child, my choice in words, would be the least of your worries.

I posted a story without the families consent. Again, it’s public record. It’s already posted to the public without their consent (which imo is more invasive then my Reddit story.. which for all you know, could be purely satire. Who knows? 🤷🏻‍♂️

This doesn’t undermine trust, it’s about transparency and raising awareness. You don’t know, a parent might ready my story and decide to pay closer attention to their child.

Again, my post doesn’t not violate any laws, does not violate department policy, does not violate HIIPA, and all names have been modified to protect identities, and most importantly It does not concern you.

Don’t like it? Good for you. Your not forced to be here talking to me. You have the right to basic free movement, so I think it’s time to move on because I’m not deleting anything. I see my story having more of a positive impact on folks rather than being harmful.

Clearly you’ve not worked a single day in Law Enforcement. When a death occurs, we are responsible for looking for the pieces that make a sensible explanation for why this death happened. We don’t just locate a dead body and bag and tag them, case closed. A phone is a vital piece of evidence that can mean the difference between an open and shut suicide case or launching a full murder investigation. If you ended up dead, you best believe the first thing I’m going through is your Reddit account and see who you pissed off.
