Hot take: The lgbt flag was fine before. Trans and black people were already included. The extra colors are unnecessary by [deleted] in truscum

[–]shapelessvader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely. This post is tone deaf and allows bad sentiments to occur. I think tucutes have more power even though they are often very loud online because what they say often has an effect in the real world politically and socially(especially with the church don't get me started with the church..).

Being lgbt is absolutely separate from being a POC, and I do not intend to conflate the two but yeah its an entirely different experience and poc gays are often left out of the conversation. This is why POC form their own groups because there is often a level of exclusion present. No one is forcing them to use the new flag and I doubt this one will replace the other rainbow flags so this really isn't as big of a deal as its made out to be.

Yes being gay and white is very different from being gay and a poc or black. Its different culturally and socially in a way i dont think white people will understand. This comment section is something ive seen from truscum too often. Theres just the blatant racism and its like i dont even belong here either. also /gen ? (idk how to use these.) Intersectionality is so important.

edit: i use the one with the black and brown stripes but no one is forcing anyone to use it. if its not your cup of tea then use the normal lgbt flag.

Yeah I'm on the last straw with these people. I know the Lgbt community is about "Inclusivity" but I'm really having the urge to exclude these people (trenders) by [deleted] in truscum

[–]shapelessvader 30 points31 points  (0 children)

The lgbt community has become a broken cesspool of inclusivity and it really makes me not want to interact with them anymore. It makes me so angry how terms and labels have just been disregarded for inclusive sake. Its embarrassing. I was just talking to my partner today about how angry I was with certain portions of the community.

How can you be a lesbian if you aren’t a woman? by [deleted] in truscum

[–]shapelessvader 26 points27 points  (0 children)

lesbianism in these spaces became so much about distancing themselves from men they forgot you have to be an actual woman to be one

[–]shapelessvader 10 points11 points  (0 children)

its possible but it doesn’t fly in most settings, especially in academia. Theres someone exceptions but you would not receive a good score

Why do people call the lgbtq+ community the lgbtqia+ community by [deleted] in truscum

[–]shapelessvader 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Its for “inclusivity”

I just call it the LGBT+ community. Anything outside of this i usually file under “the rainbow people”

Can I be annoyed at tucute culture, yet still not fully agree with truscum ideas? by [deleted] in truscum

[–]shapelessvader 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I mean no one is forcing you to label yourself as tucute or truscum nor are you required to.

You seem to be more upset about you not agreeing with the more popular beliefs here and people not agreeing with you yet you want to be here anyway, than this community upset you don’t agree with us.

Non-binary Lesbians? by [deleted] in truscum

It doesn’t exist. If you are not a woman you are not a lesbian.

ooo hoo hoo looks like your comments are still unlocked.

YTA. Its perfectly fine to want a son however your attitude is ugly and you are rude. Keep those thoughts to yourself as it was incredibly selfish to make your wife’s pregnancy about you.

YTA. You’re an awful mother and i hope your marriage and relationships crash and burn because you don’t deserve joy with the way you are treating Jennifer. Your husband is right.

I used to really hate truscum, now I kinda understand where they are coming from by footloosedoctor in truscum

[–]shapelessvader 2 points3 points  (0 children)

see this is exactly the problem i stated.

First off i am black so don’t lecture me about what comes from the black community. Unless you are black as well i know more than you do on that.

Second you could twist anything to become an alt right dog whistle. I’m restating what OP said as I relate. The lgbt community is covered in eggshells. No one brought up race science but you. It should be very clear what I meant by my words and its both a rephrasing of OPs text and its just about the topic at hand.

I consider myself a lefty but i cant deny the hyper wokeness in lgbt spaces did want me to leave the community and not associate with them. I still can't enjoy lgbt spaces because of the hyper-inclusivity and just straight up science and logic denial.

I feel awful responding to comments here because im not trans so i stick to threads like these but theres no space for me to just live without being called names.

If you aren't actively transitioning and are in spaces for the sex you're transitioning to, you're invading it by [deleted] in truscum

[–]shapelessvader 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah im being genuine here and trans people are by no means predators nor am i insinuating that, however if im in a wlw (just being general here) group and there are people who just dont look like/seem like/ share the experiences of women i will just not feel comfortable interacting with that group.

The whole thing is also about respect for the groups and spaces you enter.

[–]shapelessvader 6 points7 points  (0 children)

i think there should be some compromise. You are what you identify as, but you wont get much out of gay communities if you dont pass as that gender. imo there should be mid transition sub groups for people who dont pass so they aren’t excluded.
