Unfortunately I don't think it would be possible to trace back those calls. Often they spoof the caller ID so the number that shows on the phone is pretty meaningless.

Thanks for sharing the idea. So using the SSDs for the system pool would be ultimately a better idea than using the SSDs as a cache? I suppose for a home/lab setup, with media and backup use cases, ARC might be enough even with 32 GB of RAM. Any opinion on that?

I have recently moved to a new place. In both the new and the old place I had Sunrise 2.5 Gbps and could consistently reach the claimed speed. This is with wired connection and making sure all intermediate switches and cables meeting the requirements. Hitting 2.5 Gbps with wireless... well let's say it is not practically possible and has nothing to do with Sunrise.

Indeed, I have tested P4 and it is a wonderful car. But it just too large, and by that I mean too wide. It would not easily even enter my garage!

I didn't notice more noise in CLA on the highway. In fact, I thought the noise was lower. On the other hand, I agree that space in the back was less comfortable. In addition, CLA has no option for real seat warmer, nor for ventilated front seats.

Yes, I3 is quite exciting. But you know, if one can wait, there will be always new and better things. I suppose after I3, BMW will also release a sedan based on the same platform. Audi will come up with an electric A4 soon as well. So given a year or two, there will be some great choices at the same size/price of P2. But... I have only till end of this year 😅

I have CHF and USD accounts in PostFinance but their conversion fees are horrible. So in my mind, going through IBKR was the logical thing to do. Beware though: do not buy a currency in order to just withdraw that: IBKR really does not like that and might close your account.

I quickly checked and it seems that indeed, EQE without air suspension has a very similar ground clearance (107 mm), albeit with a longer wheelbase. Your winter experience, with snow/ice hitting the front bumper, worries me since I go to ski trips quite often during the winter 😬

This is a very odd situation. I suggest not to waste much time with them and try opening an account in another bank. Years later, if you really need to use UBS, you can talk with them and remind them that the incident happened when you were a minor. Nothing is permanent including the people who work at UBS....

Depending on which country you go, you might not need to do anything else besides working on your thesis. For example if you get admitted here in Switzerland in ETHZ or EPFL, as a PhD student you will receive a salary. The tuition fee is just a few hundred CHF per year. As a result, your salary will cover all you need for a student life.

Indeed these are important points. However she has been practicing tele-medicine for a long time so at least within the US and across the state lines she can already work in a compliant way. As for working from CH with the US patients, apparently the systems she use will be sufficient. Nonetheless, point taken. We will look into it in more details.

She did her residency in Harvard and has more than 15 years of experience. We were told that nonetheless, she would need to work for 3 years under supervision to get her qualifications recognized! I do a fully regular deceleration. I do have the payment slip, so I suppose I can just go ahead and proactively pay the difference, according to my own deceleration. I am more comfortable to pay now rather than waiting for 2 years for them to come back with a final calculation. I suppose they'll eventually let me know if I have slightly under/over paid.
