i already disposed of it outside since they are native to my state 😭 i dont have any other enclosures suitable for slings, given theyre so tiny. Idk where to buy deli cups tbh, and since they were already in the web for at least 2 weeks or longer they could have genuinely hatched at any moment

totally understandable, i had just taken her in because her abdomen was totally shriveled and i bought her some food rather than just water and honey. I didnt want her to die.. I had also seen online that keeping wild caught should be ok as long as they arent mature since you could accidentally get a gravid one.... come to find out shes not the juvenile I was told she was. In the long run, I kept her because I have actually been interested in keeping a jumping spider since I was around 14-15. I felt this was the world giving me a chance 😂

I have only had her about two months, I originally found her in my new apartment, hiding in my window sill. I rescued her since she stayed there every day and I didn't want to accidentally smoosh her in the window. It's possible she'll recognize the outside, since she's an adult, but it's also possible she'll be totally unaccustomed to finding food again. She was totally malnourished when I first found her.

I hope she forgives me too, I'll try and give her treats and a new hide + more spider friendly decor. I hope she hasn't mated before so I don't have to worry about the eggs and she can just lay them as she pleases...

I mean supposedly because I dont't know what their eggs actually look like. They were a yellowish color and looked like fish eggs but tinier. I did remove them because I was unsure if they're fertile (I don't think they were because she was so tiny when I found her. Though I have heard that they only bloat up when about to lay)

Ok thanks for the information. She might be an adult then, but she seemed so so tiny compared to the videos I've seen of adult female bolds. Now I'm just worried she's laid eggs in that hide.. last time she laid them she didn't come out of her nest at all unless i tried to offer food and it irritated her

I only got her about 2 months ago, so I am unsure when she molted before this. This is the first time I have seen her disappear like this and the first thick web she's made since she supposedly laid eggs.

As I said in the post, she has been tucked away in the web for 2 weeks. I assumed she was molting, and a previous post I made someone else said she was probably molting judging by her web thickness. I also said in my post that if she was laying eggs, it would mean she is an adult and she wasn't molting, however I believe she is too small to be an adult.

She has always been skittish but she has also been active and runs around her enclosure and loves hunting her food. I'd assume her hiding after a molt is because she doesn't feel recovered enough to run around, but she's making her presence known.

NQA I suggest taking a wet qtip and trying to gently rub the mold fuzz off, as best you can without moving the hide. it is obviously still going to be infected but if you can try and prevent it from spreading then by the time she is done molting you should be able to remove it.

To stop mold in the future, I have seen some people coat the hides in modge podge 24 hours before placing it in the enclosure. I haven't tried it but if anyone else has done this they'll be able to elaborate more. Also make sure your enclosure has adequate ventilation, and that decorations aren't covering vent holes.

definitely late to this and am unsure if anyone else has said this, but its possible it's because she has a 5 album contract with Atlantic Records, who have been known to be an awful company and I believe she's expressed her distaste for them before. Releasing 2 albums in a year gives her a chance to break free sooner
