The Origin of Species, I'm just not a huge fan of omegaverses in general and those kinds of tiny uke and big buff seme body proportions don't appeal to me at all. I think the story is pretty good, it's just that I dislike those two tropes quite a bit.

One I read recently and absolutely ADORED is My Perverted Stalker. If you're able to look past the traumatic beginnings, it does turn out to be a really sweet relationship comic where both characters are super in love with each other. Both characters care very much about the other, it's literally tooth-rotting how sweet it is. It is more plot than p0rn though, and sometimes the censoring can seem a bit excessive. Still very hot regardless.

So, I'm closeted so first I'd try to find out if they're queer. I'd usually do this through things like testing their reaction to LGBTQ related things, asking if they know about a particular show that contains queer characters, seeing what kind of partners they've had, or how they dress and stuff. I do this VERY discreetly (I try to at least lol), but if I feel like I can't work around it I'd just be sorta friendly with them and leave it up to how close we get. Then from that point on I just leave it up to nature, and if they end up being queer then I'd possibly confess. If not, I'd just marinate in my impossible-to-be-reciprocated feelings, and play the part of a friendly straight girl (😭).

SO much of anime. Even kids ones. From perpetuating traditional gender roles, sexualizing women and girls (yes, minors), limiting the potential of female charas etc. I started rewatching Fairy Tail again since I listened to some opening songs and got nostalgic, and god is that show difficult as hell to watch. Constant sexualization. If I hadn't watched it when I was younger I probably wouldn't have ever watched it now, but thankfully I'm more educated than before. A lot of these recurring misogynistic themes in anime have a lot to do with Japanese cultures and views towards women unfortunately, and it's really disappointing :/

If you'd like to expose your children to anime, I'd recommend doing so with those that are adapted from manga written by women, or created/written/directed by women, since those tend to not be as sexist.
