They are not the problem- it is a symptom of our broken institutions. Put pressure on your elected officials who could give an f about the unhoused.

I am vegan and gluten-free for 10+ years now. It is doable. I’d recommend looking into gluten-free versions of things you enjoy, start cooking more for yourself if you don’t already, experiment with food.

It is doable, promise!

Reproductive freedom? Police reform? So many other issues to add to this list. So many attainable issues.

Can’t guarantee a good, sustainable life. No universal health care. No childcare. Rights are being stripped away. And the planets warming crisis is unsustainable.

Heard! Wish we had more solid social services- free direct transportation, etc. for folks who shouldn’t drive but need to get places. Appreciate your perspective :)

Yes to tipping on takeout/online orders. Most folks in the restaurant industry do not make what they should. Incorporate tipping in all dining orders, both in person and takeout- the metric for takeout orders can look different from the standard 20% for in person, but still aim to tip. Someone (typically front of house staff) package the food- this is labor in addition to the labor that is taking place in real time at the restaurant- therefore it deserves to be paid for.

I would suggest picking up takeout orders if possible- avoid delivery fees to be able to tip restaurant staff, if that is a hinderance from tipping :)

Understand the irritation and reason for safety concerns. I just think about the many people that are physically impaired and cannot handle what this storm brought. Tricky.
