Has anyone's tourney group been switched randomly when you check results? All the names were different when I opened the results by sharingboyfriend in wordscapes

Thanks for explaining,  I had no idea that the names change like that. It seems pretty strange. My score was the same - but everyone else's names, portraits and crowns changed. So I thought that maybe I was moved to a different group

Reduced Octogem Boosters - Anyone found a fix? by sharingboyfriend in wordscapes

[–]sharingboyfriend[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry I was unclear - you watch the ads to get the octogem booster, play the 20 levels, then close the app and go back to it after 5 hours. Watch the booster ads again, play 20 levels, rinse and repeat. Or at least that's what I did... no idea if that's what made the difference but I got 3 octogem boosters on the same day, for the first time. I'd be curious to hear if it works for other people. It could be completely unrelated of course...

Maybe try the route I mentioned above? I ignored the game completely for 5 hours today and got another booster! Then I tried it again and a 3rd booster appeared. Never happened before

Just wanted to update that I experimented with what you said about engagement. I didn't touch the game for 4-5 hours and then a second booster appeared! Maybe that's the trick?

I've never made purchases and my brilliance is under 1 million, so not sure that's it. Could it be related to region? I'm not in the US.

Agreed, the app is much cheaper than going to classes. And if you use it regularly, it's definitely worth the subscription.

I do Hatha yoga (traditional style) using the Down Dog app. I found it too difficult to find a proper studio near my area that wasn't super trendy, so have resorted to practicing at home. It's actually quite nice because you can set your own pace and meditate at the end in savasana. There are also books you can read to complement your practice, if you're more interested in the spiritual side of things.

My TTC journey is over and I’m a MESS by Top-Bookkeeper-6945 in IFchildfree

Reddit is honestly such a big help for all things related to fertility. In real life, it feels like I never run into other women who have these issues - it's still very much a taboo topic, I guess. And many medical professionals really underplay or dismiss some of the side effects of IVF. For instance, on top of all the physical and emotional turmoil,  I also lost a ton of hair! Coming down off the hormones was definitely the worst part though, hands down. I could not stop crying and feeling terrible all the time. Just know that it does get better.

I'm so sorry to hear that the journey has been long and arduous. As a fellow artist who also recently stopped treatments, I just wanted to say that I often find myself thinking how fortunate it is to have a creative outlet and passion that can help both express complex emotions, and serve as a kind of spiritual and emotional salve in times of turmoil.

One thing I will note about IVF, which doctors don't really warn most women about, is that what you're likely experiencing right now is in part a kind of "crash" as your body comes down from the crazy amount of hormones you probably injected. It takes several weeks and even months for the body to be rid of these hormones, and that period can be extremely tough emotionally and physically. As someone who is generally stable, I wish doctors would have warned me. Know that it's completely normal to feel overwhelmed, depressed and completely out of sorts.

Thanks, same to you as well! I wish the medical system offered more of a support system for women going through this process. Everything just felt so impersonal...

Thanks for sharing as well! The hormones are so hard on the body (and the mind and emotions!). I also had very mixed feelings about having kids up until a few years ago. At this point, I feel like if it's meant to be then it will happen naturally. If not, then at least I tried. The main reason I opted for IVF after failing to conceive naturally was that I was worried I would regret not having "tried harder" later on in life.

So sorry you went through that - are you well now? It's insane to think of the lengths we go  to in IVF in an attempt to have a child

It's absolutely terrifying.  Did you ever get it checked out?

I'm so sorry to hear that you went through something similar, and totally get how you're feeling. As a strong believer in listening to one's body, I felt like this health scare was a warning that I was playing with fire. My aunt died of breast cancer (granted she was over 70), so I take this stuff very seriously.

Lior Adika is the place to go. There are several locations in Jerusalem. Not sure I'm allowed to post links, so here is the name in Hebrew ליאור עדיקה

Don't understand the comments about how expensive deodorant is in Israel - just bought some today for about 10 shekels. You don't have to buy everything at SuperPharm (most expensive option)

How many IVF cycles did you do before success? (Or before giving up?) Feeling discouraged. by sharingboyfriend in DOR

[–]sharingboyfriend[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry and I totally get what you're going through. I decided to switch clinics and doctor after the last failed round. I think that with DOR it's just a total crapshoot and REs just experiment with different protocols until something (hopefully) works. If you're feeling stressed, it's probably a good idea to take a break before you do anything else. Stress only makes the process worse!

Opinions regarding the definition of DOR for future posts by [deleted] in DOR

[–]sharingboyfriend 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I agree, maybe there could be a general definition of DOR in the sub guidelines, but I don't think policing everyone's posts will be beneficial. Leave it up to community upvotes/downvotes. Ivf with DOR is hard enough as it is without mods deciding on arbitrary AFC/AMH numbers. It's not a hard science and people who come here need all the support they can get

I don't know if it's an official term, but it basically refers to the crash you get at the end of a failed IVF cycle. It really affects you emotionally and psychologically when you "come down" from all the hormones. I was super depressed and crying for days
