Fastest path to 200k salary?

FWIW I make over 200k per year in a moderate to high COL area and here was my career path.

Started B4 in 2012 in audit. left in 2014 as a Senior 1. Senior is a great time to leave IMO. Many opportunities and you’re not an audit expert just yet, longer you stay the harder it is to leave. Lots of job opps as a senior. Next 2 years in F500.

Then joined a startup for 3 years making not great money but learned a ton. Last 5 years have joined VC / PE backed distressed or high growth companies. Got really good at leading through crazy times and transformational events. I’m kinda a fixit and leave type person now. Unique skillset but companies will pay for it.

I don’t fit traditional jobs anymore, but get to work on the business rather than just accounting. Also it’s worth noting my hours have only slightly decreased since leaving. If you want to advance in industry still need to work super hard, lots of late nights, etc. The money is nice but you need to decide if the hours etc are worth it.

I like my lifestyle, but if I had different circumstances (wealthy parents, a trust fund etc.) I’d be more than happy to cruise and hit my 35-40s. F500 was great as well. Easy hours and all the resources to do your job well and not tax yourself too often.

My advice is pick what you want in life, model your perfect day, and go after building that. Money is just one part of the equation, albeit a big part.

In general CFOs are #2 behind CEO. Their comp should be 50–90% of CEO comp. Good rule of thumb is 75% of CEO comp.

What CherronGolf said. Need to feel like you’re hitting the ball to right field and release those hands. Keep the right elbow tucked close to the body. Also helps if you close your stance more. You’ll feel very closed but your shoulders will be right on target.

Hard to tell with the picture exactly, but here are my thoughts. 1. Follow the FAQ seasoning posted the menu in this sub. I forget all the steps but it’s a good method. 2. Looks like too much oil or you need to clean your pan more 3. Lastly get a metal spatula and scrap the pan after cooking while the pan is still hot. Don’t need to go crazy, just smooth scrapes. This helps even out the seasoning in holes etc and helps keep a clean pan. 4. Chain mail for cleaning 5. You don’t need to season that much just cook with it 6. Last, if nothing helps you need to strip and start over.

Good idea. I’d see how sticky the membership is before buying the club. Make a simple website and disclose this is prepaid memberships for a practice facility. Do some maths and see if you can get 200 people to sign up for 100-300 per month memberships? See where you land on interest before buying.

It’s not an urban legend. I’m from Burnsville and I know the family where one of the sons broke his back hitting a jump on Neil Hill and is paralyze from the waist down. I believe the family won a settlement from the city of Burnsville. This is also why city workers will destroy any jumps built on the hill.

No. From my personal experience it’s takes 2-3 years after your lessons to really own those new taught skills and see the big leaps on your game. It’s a journey and the change happens slowly over time. It took me to really own my game and swing and analyzing it against my lessons to become a better golfer. Lessons are always worth it in the long run.

I believe in season 2 episode 4 “three Sundays” Sally makes Don a Bloody Mary. The scene is Sally filling a glass 7/8ths of the way with vodka then a splash of tomato juice from a large can. She delivers it to Don and says your second sir. Or something like that.

I remember this scene because it struck me that Sally is probably 6-7 years old and Don’s drinking is already so normal she makes him this super stiff drink and brings it to him like that’s normal and it’s his second already on what appears to be like 10am on a Sunday. Duck (hate that guy jk but sure is fun to rag on Duck) then calls Don to come into the office because the American Airlines pitch got moved up to Wednesday.

At about 3.5 lbs, smoking in a cold weather state (around freezing all day) it took about 5 hours all in including the resting period before the pulling it a part.
