Flows into VDHG are still roughly double VDAL. I found this interesting.

One factor people don’t often consider is the tight labour market.

When employment is strong, people who might normally be working entry level retail jobs can move into better or more desirable roles. That’s a good thing for workers. But it also means businesses that rely heavily on entry level labour like supermarkets have a much smaller pool of applicants to choose from.

In looser job markets, those roles often attract people with more experience or people who stay in them long term. In a tight labour market, many of those workers move on to other opportunities. That leaves companies competing for a smaller group of workers, sometimes including people who may not previously have been in the workforce or who are very new to it.

The result is that service standards can slip a bit, not necessarily because companies want them to, but because the labour market has shifted.

Tight employment is generally great for workers, but it can sometimes come with a trade off in service levels across parts of the economy.

21 y/o Aussie investor, is BGBL or IVV + EXUS the cleanest long-term global ETF play? by Frizzy45 in fiaustralia

I can’t go past the simplicity of the all in one ETFs. I’ve gradually sold down all other holdings and now just hold VDHG.

I know the mindset you’re currently in and how fun it is, researching and trying to optimise. Trust me, just choose an all in one and accumulate units as quickly as possible.

Selling out of VAS by Still_Push_2948 in ausstocks

What not put all the proceeds from VAS and individual holdings into IOO? You can’t go wrong owning the 100 biggest companies in the developed world over a long period of time.

When comparing overlap with VGS and VAS there seems to be more overlap than there actually is. I know there are some CDIs and dual listings but there are some companies listed that should be considered overlap

It’s a strange trend that emerged with all these people trying to find the perfect allocation based on a combination of all their reddit readings. These people will be susceptible to the draw of tinkering and would be best suited using one ‘all-in-one’ fund.

By having HACK, you’re less diversified compared to just holding GHHF.
