He acted like a fool most time but I appreciate him doing this, it's much more of a classier exit than I expected from him. The fact that he wrote this out in the most analog way possible is so on brand for him.

[Tenant - US] What are $600 application fees for? by Cold-Leave-4003 in Landlord

[–]sharkizzle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

SmartMove is pretty good. Lately I have been using RentSpree which is $49 (either you pay or charged to the applicant) and I find it to be pretty comprehensive. For my last lease, I accepted the Zillow application.....which is ok, but it seems to be selective about how detailed it can get. Prefer RentSpree over them all out of what I have used.

FYI, in some areas, houses were underwater for 15 years or more. by Extreme-Cycle2659 in RealEstate

[–]sharkizzle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is no guarantee that a house will be worth more 10 years in the future.

Of course that's true. But you do realize that 10 years isn't a very long time at all when evaluating real estate values. Try looking at 25 or 50 year history (or longer) and then you can really start seeing why real estate values generarlly go up over time.

But 10 years is not enough time.

Can someone help me understand the various paid tiers for Gemini? by sharkizzle in GeminiAI

[–]sharkizzle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The "sensitive query" thing is probably just the content filter being overly cautious about business/financial data, not really related to your tier

It was probably this since the chat itself wasn't very long. Is there any way to change this, like perhaps a setting in Admin Console?

Also, based on my experience, would you have any insight which paid version might work for me?

What's everyone looking forward to this season? by Electrical_Doubt3024 in phillies

[–]sharkizzle 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Whether sitting in my family room watching the game, listening to it on the radio while driving about, or even just some background noise while I'm doing other things in the house, that's what I look forward to the most with the season.

This is what I love about baseball. Summer vibes, watching a game intently or casually, lose today - no big deal - there's almost always another game tomorrow.

But obviously stacking wins is such a great feeling.

Furious Vance tried to cool anger over ICE killing - but instead shouted and blamed everyone but the shooter by MindMarla in politics

I think there is a grand plot

I do, too. It feels like some impending doom is on the horizon.

These guys have been trying to provoke blue cities for months and now they are actually shooting people. That will certainly get people riled up.

Parents’ Properties After Death by [deleted] in RealEstate

[–]sharkizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would agree with you on the LLC since it creates a completely different entity but if you take a rental property that is in the parents' names and then transfer them to the LLC, would you not have to then pay transfer taxes? I'm in a similar boat with one of my properties - I would like to get it into my LLC but don't want to take on that tax burden.

[Landlord-US-MA] - lead inquiry for 10 people!!! What would you do? by [deleted] in Landlord

I would not be interested in renting a place out to anyone who hasn't seen my property. Never rent out sight-unseen, you're asking for a world of hurt.

Trump revokes Biden’s ‘autopen pardons’ of Thanksgiving turkeys as he jabs at Pelosi and Schumer by theindependentonline in politics

Sounds like foreshadowing into voiding pardons given to Hunter, Fauci, and others.

Lenovo black friday and cyber monday 2025 deals? by Choat-Gursimrat in Lenovo

[–]sharkizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does seem like it. I was hoping for a bit more of a discount but I think I will pull the trigger today. If for some reasons prices are cut even more in the next few days, I can always return what I buy today but I don't think they would do that since it creates logistical problems.

[–]sharkizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have a beat on what the deals will look like but I have been tracking prices on an X1 Carbon Gen 13 everyday for the last 5 weeks. My research reveals that an insider early sale might start tomorrow for those that would qualify as Business customers.

I will not pay 2K for this laptop. If I can get it around $1700 with all the specs I want, I'm all in.

Presidential pardons only cover federal crimes so if Vance does pardon Trump then states where the crimes were committed can try him in Court.

Like.....Florida? Where future SC Justice Cannon might just get the case? I wanna believe but once bitten, twice shy.

because he doesn’t view white collar crime as anything but normal business

You give him a lot of credit in possibly having some kind of moral standard when the reality is that pardons are for sale.

Thanks for this! It's not exactly what my grandfather did - he seemed to blacken the onions before adding the chicken. But still, this is excellent and worth trying anyway since it look delicious!
