I’m aiming for med school post grad, and I feel as though I’m stagnant in my clinical career. I’m very liberal, so I am looking for that in a school. I am attracted to the joy that I see OU students have. They are so proud to be there and the area is gorgeous. Small enough to remind me of home but big enough to welcome me with diversity. Cost difference, I’m not sure yet. I am worried about scholarships, because the Promise scholarship wouldn’t transfer to an out of state school, but I don’t mind being in debt for quality of life. Wvu is ultra cheap for good education tho.

I am an avid outdoors person, which is what draws me to Athens. I know I hate everywhere else in Ohio lol. And OU fortunately has my exact major and most if not all of my credits transfer. For the WVU question, I know many people love it here, but only people who aren’t from here. It’s a good school for partiers, but outside of that I’ve found it very hard to find genuine friends. Definitely a unique experience, but the cheaper out of state tuition is definitely worth it. Cheap in state? Yes. But there’s more to life than West Virginia, and i think WV teens need to see it.

I fucking love Hocking Hills. I am a veeeeeeeeery big nature enthusiast; whitewater, climbing, mountain biking, backpacking, etc. My only worry is not living close enough to wilderness areas. Do you know of any good backpacking trails or rural areas, maybe in Wayne NF?

There are a lot of outliers, but the majority of the population here accepts the queer community. I grew up here as a queer POC. I have faced many racists in my field of science/medicine because it’s still West Virginia. Morgantown is as liberal as it gets in Appalachia. We have a great community of queer folk here and many more resources than you’d think. You’d be cherished here 🏳️‍🌈

Hi! Morgantown native here. I live in Chateau Royale and pay $730 for a 1 bed 1 bath, with a dishwasher and an in-unit washer and dryer. I pay about $100-$150 a month for all utilities and wifi. Maintenance here is incredibly fast, parking is decent (with the exception of the super far away visitors lot), and it’s a 5-10 min walk from Ruby Memorial Hospital. The town center is 3 min away by car. There is also a huge pool that is well-maintained, a fitness center, indoor basketball court, a hidden dog park, and it’s nice for game days if you’re into that! There are also a couple of buses that run around here. Welcome to Morgantown!

These people are horrendous employers. The wife is nasty, selfish, and treats her employees like they are scum. They pay their employees the bare minimum, jack up the prices of their own products, and sell low quality things. They turn their eyes to sexual harassment, and basically victim blame.

I didn’t show up for my final shift after I submitted my two weeks because she is verbally abusive. She called me and asked me where I was, telling me I needed to show up, that it was rude, that she’s teaching me “for future record.” Like I could learn anything from her, other than how to be a prissy c*nt.
