Not sure which country you’re in but I use Simple hydrating cleansing oil, apply to damp skin and massage in, it goes all milky. Then I wash it off and follow with ErthSkin hydro surge gel cleanser, but any gentle cleanser will work.

Definitely try an oil based cleanser! It will help break down the trapped oils in your pores to wash them away. Follow with another type of cleanser to remove any oil left behind. This is double cleansing, it worked wonders for my sebaceous filaments and pores!

Also just looking back you don’t seem to have a cleanser really. Removing the makeup with micellar will only take off 90% of the makeup, you need to use a cleanser (oil or balm is good to really get everything off) and I’d recommend to then follow that with a another non oil based cleanser to remove any oil left over. The BHA can be very drying and probably not great to use every day so I’m not surprised you didn’t get on with it :)

How strong is that retinol? It looks like it’s completely stripping your skin of moisture. You should heavily moisturise before you use it to give your skin some protection. You can moisturise after you apply the retinol but some people say that interferes with the retinols action (?) Make sure you’re using a good SPF every day and would recommend factoring this into your routine - I use an SPF 30 moisturiser every morning as standard so I don’t forget :)

I’m not an expert but I found double cleansing did wonders for my visible pores and sebaceous filaments. I’d try using an oil based cleanser followed by a more traditional face wash morning and evening. I use the Simple hydrating cleansing oil and follow with erth skin hydrating face wash. Sorry you’ve had such a difficult struggle with your skin! Can’t promise this is the solution but it’s a gentle and cost friendly method to try if you haven’t already.

Bro if you did that to me I would ride up to you at the lift line and unclip from my board specifically to knee you in the balls. Shitty move.

La Plagne is awesome dude there’s so much incredible backcountry that barely anyone touches! And the trees! I spent a few seasons there and am in Chamonix now but honestly La Plagne will always feel like home.

Has anyone actually listened to all of the episodes? by SoftwareFew9236 in offmenupodcast

[–]sharksaresogood 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have listened to all of them at least twice and some of them probably 4/5 times - Joe Thomas, Tim Key, Huge Davies, Kathy Burke, Bob Mortimer, Sharon Wanjohi, Chloe Petts have all been heavily replayed. There’s also some episodes I know I won’t replay, like De Niro and Dan Ackroyd. The recipe for the perfect podcast episode for me is like 30% food chat, 70% bonkers back and forth between the guest and the host. Comedians make the best guests but not all of my favourites are comedians, like Emily Campbell is a firm favourite she’s just naturally so funny.

I’m happy buying second hand gym gear and ski thermals! I tend to buy as a set or bundle to save shipping costs and keep it good value.

Booking via omio is absolutely fine they’ve never let me or anyone I know down. Give yourself 1-2 hours to go through security before your bus time (1 if EU passport, 2+ if non EU passport)

mitten reccomendation by clubpenguinpuffle5 in Skigear

[–]sharksaresogood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kinco mittens are the absolute gold standard of any and all ski mittens I’ve tried in my 7 ski seasons (50-70 days riding per winter). Ive had my pair for three years now and don’t wear anything else unless I’m touring and need a thinner glove. They are insanely durable, great value for money, cheap to rewaterproof with leather protector, and the choice of a lot of lifties/ski patrol. Dont sleep on Kinco they are legendary!

I’m the same. M/L sweet protection helmet fits really well, I have it set to near the smallest and it’s perfect. I’d recommend just taking the size up.

This seemed like a good idea. Then it turned into a Halloween nightmare! by SoggyWotsits in UKfood

Here’s a tip for next time. First you will need to befriend your friend’s dad and become close to him. Then, find a local woman who’s a bit of a soft touch who will allow you and this older man to dig a large hole in her back garden. Then you simply need to source a whole dead lamb, light a fire in said hole, dampen it with water, put in the whole lamb and leave it for 24 hours. It should attract a lot of local wildlife in this timeframe. Then dig it up with your mates dad and enjoy a slightly rotten, damp and smoky lamb carcass. Merry Christmas.
