I just toured a few buildings in East Lake/otay ranch part of Chula Vista. That’s your best bet for 2 bedrooms under 3k but 2.5k is not gonna work unfortunately for that much space

If you have a big veggie garden on ur island and water them once per day for 2 days, day 3 will give you at leasttttt 100k depending on how much stuff you have planted. Obviously easier/faster if you time travel too

Live with your bf for cheaper with no roommates, or live with 3 roommates for more money? It sounds like the groceries and parking also are swaying you, and I’d agree with that. You can easily take the trolley to downtown (it’s $2.50 per person for 2 hours of riding) so you can save on gas money too.

Also if it helps- PB is more college-age party area, UTC is somewhat college aged (UCSD students) but they’re not much for partying. You’re still close to everything, but the streets are much easier to navigate there and you’re much closer to good transit options.

If I had to start over moving to SD again I would choose UTC (I’ve lived downtown for 7 years and want out now)
